  1. Real catch 22. Having a bunch of athletes running around for 2 hours brings severe fatigue contrast with the old days when Plugger on a lead was the most running he did all day. Transitioning to the full time professional era has played a part too. More time back then to do the extra hours of practice in front of goal, and I think that has to be said. It was A LOT of extra hours that these guys put in. With all the fitness work and meetings these guys have it is a bit hard to fit it in. I don't know what the answer is but I'm convinced it's a perfect storm and not a magic bullet reason.
  2. Yeah I'm thinking Turner will take it now.

After watching highlights of Mahomes again in this game I don't think it was quite the world beater performance that I did at the time but still gutsy and everything you ask for. His second half was excellent and battling back from the knock was a great story, going 13 from 14 attempts for 93 yards had a lot of dink and dunk but again, he executed when it mattered. As for MVP, he probably has to be. I never thought the MVP could go to a losing side but apparently it happened once in the early days. Hurts was brilliant but was he good enough to be the second losing MVP ever? The other case could be made for Toney, his 2 big plays really mattered but then you'd have an MVP winner who had a line in the box score that read 1 Rec 5 yards 1 TD 2 Punt returns 77 yards. I'd say Mahomes gets it by default but interested to hear your thoughts.
  4. I was with about 6 of them on Monday watching the Super Bowl at Sporting Globe. All so miserable about the bummers!

I’m actually good with you making the case for AD99 Gorg. In my brief Vic Bowl playing days I was a LB so I do have a soft spot for defense. We talk about Rice and Brady and the work rate, extra training etc, Donald is right up there next to them.

Not wrong on talent, probably not even in the top 10 to be honest. But his drive and relentless pursuit to always be improving arm mechanics and strength is unparalleled. For me he's what the sport and that position is all about (or should be all about). Yes he couldn't have done half the things he did without that coach, yes he usually had a defense that kept him in a lot of games. I'll add in the O-Line there too Gorg he has more often than not had a decent one and this was the secret sauce for me. However he also didn't have a lot of stud receivers and the one time he had a hall of fame receiver in Randy Moss he broke the season TD record. Andy Reid said it yesterday, a great QB has attributes but they make everyone around them better. TB12 is at very least the GOAT of making everyone better. A pure winner, maybe to a fault..
  7. You would have loved the Dons fan I was speaking with on Monday, he was really pumped about Weid and how a second chance is all he needs. He may be right but still, sheesh.
  8. Agree, it's more of a selfish 'want' than need for me.
  9. I understand that fans are frustrated and really don't want to go through the circus of last year again but this would be a pretty silly thing to do.
  10. There's a few reasons why we struggle with this. Where we taker our shots from is one part of it and doesn't help. Another part is psychology and the mental aspect with a lack of set shot routine, then another is fatigue especially with the way our game style demands pressure and repeated sprints. There's no magic bullet cause but moving Chocco into this position and being able to look at the mechanics of how the ball is being kicked at goal, surely it can only be a good thing.

Not to mention in a salary cap era too Macca. Brady is lapping everyone at this point. Once you get into that rare mix of great coach and great QB, the special stuff happens!

I give up on those. When does the receiver become a runner anymore?

Dappa's Eagles controlling the game so far. Missed FG and a Chiefs jump offside. Fine margins
