Did Tommo get soundly beaten by McKay? I don't think so. Harry kicked a checkside beauty and a ripper outside 50 but also flapped like a balloon for a dicey free. Harry had 9 marks and 5 inside 50 so nothing to sneeze at but Tommo wasn't that far off.

Wins like this might paper over the cracks, but losses in these games take sledgehammers to the cracks and rip the place down.

It was an ugly game but not an ugly performance. Did plenty of things right just didn't execute well. I'm sure they will put it behind them.

Inaccuracy out

Even though it was ugly I thought we did a few things right. Backline rendered the Blue bums twin towers useless and McKay wasn't that great.

But on the positive side, we won the clearances!
