  1. Based on the way the Pois played last night we won't need them anyway.
  2. On the other hand, Spencer has yet to be named on Melbourne's official injury list so he must have been fit for the past month. Does he still atttend school?
  3. I think he means that there's no less clash between this and the original jumper. I can't see any reason for clubs to wear clash jumpers when there's hardly any clash to start with. For instance, we could have easily worn our own traditional jumper against the Eagles on Sunday. The AFL is taking the whole issue to ridiculous extremes and St. Kilda's jumper last night was stupide. The worst of it all was Norf's against Collingwood the week before.
  4. Agreed. Richmond are too old and lack motivation while Terry Wallet's in the coaches seat.
  5. I'd like to see a big game from Grimes who was unlucky to get injured after such a great pre-season.
  6. I think you can email them and lodge a complaint.
  7. Like it or not, there are a number of advantages when playing Collingwood that don't otherwise apply. The game will still get more publicity than most other games because we're playing against a sure fire publicity magnet. If the papers have nothing to write about then they always look for some beat up about the Pies. We also get to play on a Saturday and have that rare opportunity for a rest on a Sunday. I'd be happy to play against this mob every second week.
  8. A dead heat!
  9. Surprised to see the downfall of Daniel Harris at North. Laidley tried to trade him over the pre season and now he's left out of their 22. He always does a good job against us and I'm happy to see him out of their team.
  10. Wins nearest to the pin. Wrong product but correct country of manufacture and what a great idea it was to have those belly dancers grinding away on the collective farm.
  11. FWIW, it's a good suggestion and hopefully, will be followed up. I'm glad you're not on the board with that negative attitude.
  12. Definitely the #1 man for the Demons as far as I'm concerned but does anyone know if the cops have caught the tools who whacked him around new year?
  13. In terms of shooting for goal it was one of those days unfortunately. They must have had about seven shots from difficult angles that went through while we missed a few easy ones. On top of that, Roughhead could have easily been penalised for putting his hands in Martin's back when he took that last mark. Every club has one of those days a couple of times a year when they simply can't miss and they get the lucky breaks in front of goal. The fact that we had more scoring shots and were on top for so long is cause for encouragement and we shouldn't despair at all from the game and its outcome.
  14. A good win to the All Stars in wet conditions. Aussie kicked a couple in a game dominated by the slick moving IAS.
  15. If it just came through then it's no good for today is it?
  16. If we are to progress in 2009 we need our players of Moloney's vintage (early to mid 20's) to step up and take greater roles on the ground> I hope he can stay fit and fulfil the promise of his first season with the club.
  17. I don't think anybody needs to play the blame game but surely plans for the possibility of a new sponsor should be made well ahead of time. Up to 12 months for such a major issue as this one. Now doesn't that go back to when they were in charge. So do we know if anything was done on this at an early stage to cover the possibility of the Primus deal not continuing beyond 2008?
  18. Not quite bless'd. Just very Bleased about it at Melbourne.
  19. Amazing, we went from flowers to demons and started winning premiership flags. Then we had a player called Flower. Go figure?
  20. I've just been watching a video of the championships grand final and it was interesting that Nathan Buckley nominated Lynch as the player with the most drive to succeed of the young players he was working with for the AFL. Blease also looked the goods in that game but I think he might be taken before 17.
  21. He was on the news at St. Kilda training and he actually looked like a human being. No mo and no bogun haircut.
  22. Has he sworn off swearing and abusing his teammates and others at his club?
  23. Thankfully, the club has managed to clear the air over that issue.
  24. Enjoyed the read. Agree that it's time for Brock to take over the leadership. From what I hear he has matured a lot over the past six months and is ready to lead our young side.
