Complete waste of time, has been since the start. Sydney spends a lot of effort as they like gws, gcs and Brisbane have everything to gain by developing players, the rest just sign players host a couple of training sessions and have little interest

I'm sure grass root netball associations would love that 15mil for Infrastructure as well. A lot more people play and follow Netball in Vic than follow the mfc. The bottom line on the facility upgrade it has to have or appear to have more community benefit than just a facility for mfc. If we haven't done so already we need to be adding in Reach Foundation into the facility, teenage mental health and support needs to receive the funding and facilities it needs.

Most players will have a running program to do whilst away from the club. Few weeks off a bit of running to keep your fitness at a level so you don't struggle when you get back. Gone are the days where you could come back underdone. First thing clubs do now is a fitness test when you get back.

Saints Sack Ratten & Appoint Lyon as Coach

Yze would be mad to take this job. Expect to see St Kilda, Hawthorn and North prop up the ladder for the next few years -
Do the Dees have the pieces to make another premiership tilt?
drdrake replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
There is no question that if we can bring that intensity and dare back we can win it again. We lost our way mid year, injury, stubborn coach and our players looked cooked this year. Our mids have two of the best tap ruckman in the comp, we need to become less predictable with our ruck taps and win back that dominance in clearance work. -
Smith May Petty Bowie Lever Salem Hunter Brayshaw Langdon Petracca TMac Fritsch Grundy JVR Kosie Gawn, Oliver, Viney Jordon, Harmes, Sparrow, Rivers

The club pushed out a 4 time premiership coach, it wasn't a transition bit like Collingwood Mick wasn't onboard with the Buckley transition it was board driven that Buckley would coach somewhere else, same with Hawthorn they wanted Mitchell and didn't want him coaching somewhere else.

If he picks Freo, they need to trade Lobb to get the pick. You would be picking Freo, they are building a got list
-
We will hopefully have a fit TMac, B Brown couldn't be as bad as he was this year, Dutchy at Casey that a full preseason will be great, don't forget our WA draft picks didn't get over till after Christmas. I think if Weiderman is out Bruce is on the way in. Hoping Petty is still in our back 6 he is vital down there and these other blokes can hold down the kpf spots.

Bedford new nickname Steak knives

I know just nice to dream that we could turn the Jackson trade into a top 5 pick this year. Plus a future 1st, maybe we get a future 3rd back instead of their future second. It might depend on where we see Brown fall as a FS next year.
-
Be nice to throw 13 and Bedford at GWS for pick 3. Add in the future second rd from North swap with GWS future second.
-
Could be a good swap Tomlinson for Bruce. We need a KPF and the need a KPD. Be similar money
-
The issue clubs face is free agency. If there is any chance of losing a player it is better to trade then lose to free agency. Sometimes to clubs stop trying to keep a player as they know the player wants to go and it then becomes getting the best trade.

Trading Jeremy Howe

Agree we lack pure leg speed, but that wasn't the issue this season, it was slow, predictable ball movement with no dare. Last year we hit the daring kick from half back, this year down the line
-
No, I think we want that pick 21ish to on trade to Collingwood, it will be more what pick we need to add to the deal to get it done. I reckon gws want our second rd pick and we are offering the third round
-
With the players leaving GWS they are going to have a pretty strong hand in both r1 one of 2022 and 23 draft. Not sure if they have any academy plays this year. We might get a responsible pick with Bedford and a pick swap.
-
What will we get after 3rd round pick 51ish
-
You can stamp your feet all you want, unless we get state and federal money nothing will happen. The club would have had many meetings and submissions, unfortunately giving more money to the Olympic Park/mcg precinct isn't a high priority when you have a health and education crisis in most states of Australia. Sorry, would love to see our club get millions like other clubs but at this time there is bigger priorities
-
They certainly gave up on this season very easily and early. No question that they were completely under prepared for the season. They will fix this, WCE expect to win and will do what is needed.
-
West Coast don't stay down for long. If they can get their list healthy they still have some really good players.
-
The fact we changed our forward set up to not play him late in the year you don't blame him. He is now 4th choice kpf at melb.

What ever happened to the Collingwood report. Do a report then lift the carpet and sweep the issue under it. Same will happen here, a few statements for Hawthorn, the AFL and some of the people involved then GF, Trade week and all is forgotten.
