  1. I am just Cherry Ripe Down Below myself B) To the Topic...Stop Talking about Percentage FFS i want the Guys to learn to win ok, that's all. 4 points, i do not give a stuff about percentage. We do not have a proper forward line yet. Just Prey For a win please.
  2. Thanks for those figures 45, with a few big efforts from the Team in the next month we should smash last years figures-the noise in the crowd last sunday really got me pumped, i can only imagine when 50,000 MFC supporters are in the crowd to watch an interstate team. It will Happen B)
  3. Those 2 games against Carlton from 2005 keep flashing up in my head.!!!! We must be ruthless against that Tiger shambles.
  4. I don't think they have improved that's his problem, his attitude on the ground is not in question-his skills are. I have been hoping for years that BM would play a blinder & still do, but once this forward line starts functioning like it should we will have no room for "Good Blokes" Brad must pull his finger out right now & improve those skills. You can't expect the Midfielders to bust a gut all day getting the ball to miller, who then misses from 30 out.
  5. Grimes is a loose man i think!!! B)
  6. Good Test for the Leadership group, and any potential leaders we have in the kids. Shall make the day very interesting. If we treat Richmond with the respect they deserve, then we will know this club is deadly serious to achieve regardless of who we are drawn to play.
  7. Jordie McKenzie as a smoky-his attack on the ball and opposition players for tackles is so good to see.
  8. Yes good point, maybe the Etihad situation needs to be addressed before interstate, our record there is pitiful. When it first opened we did alright there, but over the last 4-5 years i would guess our record is close to or if not the worst in the AFL at wining at the airport. But once again "Baby Steps" are what we need as long as they are in the same direction!!
  9. Yes lets not forget that Adelaide were about 7 seconds from playing in a prelim last year & the filth took that spot. These kids are learning fast now-i know they will flatten out, but so will other sides. Winning interstate is Dean Bailey's next big test over the next 2 years.
  10. very hard call. Trengove or Grimes...nice dilema though! B)
  11. What Rubbish a Home Team gets a good deal off the umpires mainly because the Team is lifted to play better by the Bias Crowd. The Umps don't favor one side, all there games are scrutinized with video reviews. We got a better deal yesterday because we tackled and chased hard-and Tackled correctly most of the time. After Half Time we played Pro active Footy, That is the side that usually gets the rub of the umpires.
  12. Yes, i thought he had a broken neck when i saw it on the scoreboard-He is a lucky boy. But anybody wearing thjat "insipid" Clash jumper Adelaide had on yesterday deserved a bit of treatment! Damm i hate clash jumpers.
  13. Yes, but after the Football i have watched over the last 3 weekends & the pace and intensity of the games-a few injuries to any side will bring them straight back to the pack. What position we end up this year is not important-my point was that apart from Richmond, all clubs can play. Positions 4-15 might be a lot different to what we see now by Round 22 Anybody have The Shockers sitting 2nd 3-0 before the season started?? B)
  14. As the MFC finished on the bottom of the ladder the las 3 years i hope we do not consider any game easy. That's what happened during the ND years & was i believe the main cause of our inconsistant & or poor finals finishes. Games we should have won, we lost. Sunday is a perfect example for DB & the Football Dept. to get that mind set completely eradicated (hopefully) Top Teams go out there and play good football regardless of the opposition. That Being said Richmond are a disgrace & i hope we treat them with absolute contempt-what a shambles Team they are, so much for the new coach & new CEO. But if we lose to Richmond all the Respect we have gained over the last 2 weeks will evaporate completely. I say to the MFC Players-Go in Hard & attack the goals...Do it for Jimma Beat the Tigers over 4 Quarters, then walk away head held high ready for Brisbane B)
  15. Between positions 4-15 could be very even this year. Our side is very raw & learning, but they refused to lie down in that second half-& that has got to be good for a young Group
  16. I thought he played 3 good Q's and 1 great Q yesterday. He was one of the few trying to be creative in the first half when adelaide had the corridor shut down. Jamie is still learning but his pace gives us almost a second Flash & that is a great weapon on the MCG B)
  17. Stop believing the Glass is half empty-it's half full & filling up. Yes we are a young & very Raw side, but i saw yesterday a team that worked out a few problems at half time (we were not playing too badly in the first half-contested ball and marks, we just were not allowed to score) but after half time the side adjusted & then refused to lie down) This young side wants to win. Next week we will be favourites deservedly so, & it will be a great test for Dean Bailey & co to keep the boys up. If the team can play like we have over the last 2 matches for the majority of the whole season-yes we will be competitive, and that mind set will win games in this very even competition. Making the 8 this year would be a bonus i agree, but it is possible if this side believes. It could be hard for players to crack into this team & that just means more competition within the club. Cam Schwab spoke at the after-match yesterday & i can tell this club is waking up big time B)
  18. Ring the club mouse, they will sort you right out mate.
  19. Just makes everyone fight for their spot in the 22. No more automatic selections anymore That was a problem i always felt with the ND years. Our good players were great, but they didn't have competition for their spots so much. Bailey and the board are creating a totally different side. Bring it on B)
  20. The wind was crazy today. Both sets of Flags on the top of the video Boards were blowing hard toward each other!!
  21. Yes i got a great view of that run on the members wing-it was fantastic. The whole team played like that in the last Q Great game chip- Keep Richmond Scoreless next week-NO MERCY AT ALL B)
  22. Cam Schwab was also in the Harrison Room at the after match. Spoke very well-This Club is moving upwards i have no doubt. The crowds will return to the MCG we have some gun kids, and the club will not deviate from their Blue Print. As i said a couple of weeks ago. Cameron spoke before the season started and stated that the MFC are intending to win 150 home & away games in the next decade. He was Serious. Today just might be the beginning-The 2nd Half Turn around today was a new look Melbourne-They refused to lie down.
  23. Great game from Jamie-thought of this thread during the game. B) He was one of the few players in the first half who was able to be creative. His 2nd half was a cracker. He will only get better.
  24. 2nd Great Game in a row. Well done Rohan, this kid has balance and looks confident with the Ball, I like him. He should have a very long Career in the Red & Blue.
  25. Yes thanks, i could see the flags at the city end going flat out towards Punt Rd, that's why i asked, so it must have been moving around over the ground. No wonder so many points were kicked.
