  1. Oh he said it alright!! Heard him talking about it this morning on the radio-Bails had a good laugh (and apologized with a smile) B)
  2. Correct. There was nothing honourable about last night. It was not good enough and we must improve as a Team. The first Q the dogs kicked easy goals and that cost us. It is great to see this team emerging though, but the players have got to learn to finish off passages of play All that hard work for no result must be unacceptable to the whole club.
  3. Here it is.....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=swyg5z9LnlU
  4. Too little too late Anderson. Thanks for stuffing up my week APOLOGY NOT ACCEPTED. How dare umpires wear Red & Blue anyway! [censored]
  5. We made a lot of noise..and i didn't hear a word of that loathsome footscray song, which is right up there with Fremantle's dirge. Stand tall Demon Faithfull.
  6. I agree. Our boys deserved a win tonight. We were robbed. Lynden Dunn kicked a dam goal and it was dissallowed. But i do love the Demons and we will have success, but right now i am numb with rage, and it doesn't feel great.
  7. Lynden Dunn deserved that goal, what more can isay I have just got home and i still feel numb. I will say one thing though. Goddammit i love the Demons and i am really hurting If that goal umpire had stuck to his guns, the game was ours. By changing the decision the Filthy Dogs got a sniff. So glad the westies didn't hear their crud song. I need a drink now.
  8. Sure we are- The Western Mutts have some old players in their team. Run them to the point of exhaustion Demons. Get inside Festival Hall's little Brain so he loses it big time (remember september '98?? We can Beat these guys. The Bulldogs are March champions & nobody cares!! B)
  9. As long as Liam Jurrah doesn't get injured i am ok with it B)
  10. Thanks KS sounds like he is a wealth of knowledge particulairly with the younger kids. Will be a good asset in the coming years of tough Drafts Good Pick up. People are coming to us now it seems. A .good working environment makes a good club all round
  11. i have not heard of this touted genius...what are his credentials, always happy to welcome back Demons to the club.
  12. I agree with you. Brisbane are the Bears, even moreso now they have bought in the "paddle Pop" Lion logo. There is nothing Fitzroy about that team. B)
  13. Yes i realize that, but as i work for a TV station i also know that Torrent is killing my job slowly so i try to resist using it But i will use it if i cannot get the bears DVD from name a game.
  14. Haven't done that yet...thought i would do the right thing!!!
  15. cool thanks guys i will do it tomorrow..i was really hanging to watch the bears game so i felt a bit cheated, but that first win was a good watch!! Geez we were lucky to do it to!!
  16. Today i received my name a game postage. The Brisbane game. On the DVD's are clearly marked MELBOURNE V BRISBANE. But as i pressed the play button i see the adelaide game start playing!!! Now i don't really mind having the first win, but i wanted to see the bears game Has anyone had the same problem??? I don't really want to spend another $40 Anybody have a copy of the full Brisvegas game that i could burn a copy of??
  17. Pick 11 from carlton is all i will say once again. Excellent work from the MFC no carrying players who are not going to win us a flag. Joel Macdonald dropped this week for a bad game-in the old days joel would have played tomorrow night, but now he will hopefully learn that we need & expect Top line performances at this club now, and so we should.
  18. No, i just don't believe Carey should be given any acolades that's all. Watch the interview he does with Denton-if you know anything about body language Carey is showing all the signs throughout that interview. I don't believe one word he says. I am in the minority around here Fair enough, but Carey deserves no awards in my Book.
  19. and you possess more knowledge of MFC business plans RR? I really do not understand why this conversation has gone off track from the Fragility of North Melbourne, Oh that's right you wished that i read the History of such club. Sorry not really interested to be honest. The Red Fox is far more my style.
  20. yes but since '64 they have always been in the mix & when they have dipped they bounce back quickly, would they still be a power club if they had had the 23 year drought we did. It's purely hyperthetical i know but i find it interesting, particularly when you look at carlton post 2002. They were so close to going down-without the Cardboard Criminal it would have been Curtains. Eddie has been great for Collingwood, but even before him the filth supporters still turned up-they just didn't collect the Cash well enough.
  21. I am well aware of business practise, and i will say losing the Pokie base about 8 years ago was a major kick we didn't need. I think our major problem back then was that the B & C plans were not ready. So this is what i hope is being addressed now. Many different small plans will get this club firing again. Yes Vlad & Eddie helped get QB up and running, but the reason they agreed was because of that record attendance in 58 so i don't consider it carp at all!!!!
  22. interesting thought...would collingwood have the same clout that they do now if our roles were reversed since '64?? Because both clubs were Huge in the 50's compared to most others. Success is 95% of survival no doubt. Personally i cannot believe we survived the early 80's. Contracts were out of control pre the cap being formed.
  23. The signing of the re alignment with the MCC will be seen in the future as the MFC's most important decision. Something other clubs hopefully will envy. On field success will wipe debt quicker than most other things. Our Home ground can seat 100,000 people. The potential is huge as long as the club keeps growing on & off the field.
  24. Do you think we have not any business plan in place since 2008? I cannot answer that directly but i would be very suprised. And it may only be a small insight but after following Cameron Schwabs "whiteboard Wednesday" video presentations each week it looks to me that the club is very much looking towards long term sustainability. who cares if its 52 years ago, it is part of our history and it is attainable to get there again. It is the reason our QB fixture still exists so it is far from irrelevant RR
  25. That is exactly why north are going to struggle going forward, they have outlasted their ability to compete in the corporate world-I don't think they can survive going forward past 5-10 years. Nothing wrong with a tin rattle if it helps clear debt. It's all cash. Putting up a good performance in games like this Friday night are just as important to help our on going growth. I am not sure what you mean by "normal operations" as all ways of collecting revenue are ok by me as long as they are above board. To call the club a "Basket Case" now is stretching it a little, although i do concede we have a long way to go, and my reference to 1958 is just to remind all of us how populiar we were, & it is possible to get there again if we can have sustained september action.
