  1. That doesn't look like an MFC jumper at all....Footscray colors in my Book. Essendons Trad jumper is less of a clash than the attempted clash jumper they submitted, so let both teams play in the Trad jumpers-Umpires in white (just like the old days)
  2. Well Bailey certainly rated Jared Rivers very highly on "One week at a time" last night.
  3. J Watts was outstanding at ground level, and his 2 contested marks will be invaluable. He is on the way now. I am just waiting for the first MCG goal. That will be a big moment
  4. That's dead right, the ball is still well and truly in Col's court, the season is not halfway yet.
  5. No its a fair call, so many of our young list are yet to play at all so we must have patience-but it is a balance act as last saturday proved. The natives in the crowd were definately restless.
  6. Dunn should play next weekend. i was happy with Watts game, but my god we missed Dunn, (that's how bad the forward structure was!!!)
  7. It happened to the MFC in 1999,2001,2003,2005,2007....so it is a problem that will take some beating!!
  8. Yeah i know...but its such a bad score, i didn't need reminding again!!
  9. well then he should not have played. That's why i put the club on notice. We cannot accept that performance on saturday. It undoes a lot of good work. The Crowd was ready for a big one. We wanted to get the boys home, but never got out of first gear!!!!
  10. All players have off days, but when the majority of the senior players have them on the same day, that is unacceptable & must change.
  11. so you are saying the Bulldogs kit with the lighter blue jumper would have caused problems? I don't agree During the early mid eighties you have a point but not with the dark Royal Blue Like i said before, during the 2000 GF both sides wore the Trad strips & i had no troubles following the game.
  12. That's the main point of this. I have heard those excuses for years. Not good enough anymore-If a player is picked in the senior Team he is ready to go.
  13. That was an umpire clash RR. Totally different situation.
  14. never had any problems sorting out North & Collingwood on a wet day via Black & White TV Rhino, not even Hawthorn at Glenferrie-and we all remember what a bog that was. Why is it a problem now? Because the AFL says so...that's why.
  15. So you are quite happy that Badly designed clash jumpers are used just because the EPL does it are you RR. OK that's your opinion & not mine. The main reason the AFL/VFL code has always pulled monster crowds in this relatively small city is because it is fiercely tribal & loyal to its traditions. If the AFL continue to chisel away at these too much the code will suffer. I know you will disagree buts thats just who you are
  16. Totally agree rpfc. The clean out of this list is far from over, i realized this during the second half last saturday. 1 goal in fine conditions...The eagles aern't even that good!
  17. Your point??? Clash jumpers only weaken clubs in the eyes of the AFL-that is the long term strategy. Feel free to deny but in 10-15 years it will be correct. (Yes Minister is one of the greatest btw RR so i will pay that one)
  18. But answer me this question.....Did you have any difficulty watching the 2000 Grand Final. Apart from the result, i didn't. The jumpers only clash because the AFL want them to Lets have the Home Fixture along with 50+k attendance wearing traditional jumpers problem solved. I don't trust Adrian Anderson one bit.
  19. It took you till monday afternoon to realize that fact......6-10-46 on a dry sunny day is pretty bad yeah....
  20. You are entitled to your opinion & arguements but i disagree. If Melbourne wore a clash jumper regularly i would lose interest in the club over time for sure. Don't bring Hawthorn into it, good God all their jumpers Traditional & clash are just appaling (Remember that blue chequered thing!!!!) Yes North Melbourne have been out of their depth commercially for about 25 years i agree, but i use the example to show that once you Roll over once-You can NEVER repair the damage. So it is RIGHT NOW that the MFC must stand firm on its future & its magnificent past. I don't give a flying F about all the other clubs, But i care a shiteload for the MFC Demons-As far as home games go..The only organization we should work in tandem with is the MCC.
  21. Why can't we just leave it alone...The AFL are not always right with the dress code as we all have witnessed over the last 2 weeks. I have never had a problem watching the MFC jumper, even when it was on B & W Television going back in time!
  22. I watched him very closely last saturday for your information sir. And until he start turning on some form against Top Teams my opinion will not change. Colin Sylvia has the ability to be a Top 10 AFL Player-But he does not have the application for it. Like i said he should have a long heart to heart with our esteemed President who knows a lot about Hard work. Remember the words "Failure requires no Preparation" Last Saturday was the Perfect day for Colin Sylvia to really show us and his team mates all his skills. Wet Coke are not that god FFS) but alas no. You may think he works hard enough. But i want to see Colin kick 5-7 Goals during September encounters. Raise the Bar my friend.
