Trinity must have close to the most AFL/VFL and former AFL/VFL players of any school.

Cull is what other more heartless clubs do. We deselect.
  3. Two dodgy umpire decisions. Not that I'm dwelling.
  4. There were 6 1/2 minutes to go in the last quarter. Not quite sitting tho. He was pretending to pick up the ball, then threw himself backwards.
  5. There was a moment in the second half near the centre of the ground where Shorty Daniel was sitting on the ground in a pack of players and feeling a player behind him, threw up both arms and lunged backwards as if shot in a 1960s war movie. If I were the umpire I would have sent him off for overacting.
  6. Not quite. The umpires conspicuously avoided paying the Dogs too many dodgy frees in the GF.

Tied for last: Carlton, Collingwood, Essendon, Richmond, Hawthorn, St Kilda, West Coast, Bulldogs. Tide for second last: Port, Norf, Sydney, Freo, Geelong, Lions, Crows. Shrug: Giants, Suns.

I never like to see anyone else win the flag. I just have sides who I would prefer not to win.
  9. How did they know to pick MY Taylor out of all the Taylors? Uncanny.
  10. Even taking into account the Freo absentees, Melbourne's footy was very good.
  11. I'm more worried about May's "tightness".
  12. Sounds even less appealing than the Australian version of Would I Lie to You.
  13. 1969 had 20 games. There was two step transition from 18 to 22. 22 started in 1970.

Based on running into Lachie Henderson and gifting top spot to the Dees.
  15. I stand corrected. Well, sit. He looked pretty ready today.

HUGH FITZPATRICK hasn't watched much footy if he thinks Sam Weideman has great hands.
  17. What we got 'ere is failure to commun'cate. Daisy shows up all the recent special comments commentators because she is one thing the they are not - a good communicator. You'd think the ability to clearly communicate would be a KPI lock for a commentator, but for the last few years - decades - the special comments commentators have been players first and communicators last. Duck is an absolute wood duck; it's no contest between him and Daisy. Bucks is actually a good communicator too, so he'll be a welcome addition to the commentary ranks.
  18. Trade him for Sam Walsh.
  19. There can be no doubt that the umpires looked at the first final last year when Free Weightman conned the umps 5 times, and decided to pay no coulda-been-paid frees. The Dogs got a few cheat frees in the GF, but mostly the umps pointedly ignored the Scray's shenanigans. In short: the Dogs had no one to blame but themselves. They overplayed their hand, and got hit by the karma bus. Chuck in the 2016 GF for retrospective caution by the umps.
  20. Tomlo is probably not quite ready, but they love Smith, and the Van Rooyen is taking big strides. Embarrassment of riches.
  21. #DestinationDemons
  22. Plenty of Demon players retired early for career reasons, which makes me wonder whether the Dees were more observant of the Coulter Law than other clubs whose champions received incentives to continue.
  23. A funny take on "hanging up his boots."
  24. I'm the right vintage, but I don't think I ever saw Cook play.
  25. Jack may not be the most polished footballer, and has copped stick here for it, but was made to win finals. He's a better version of Brett Kirk who couldn't kick, mark or hand pass but was a vital ingredient of two premierships.
