I don't care if GWS wins a flag. I don't know any GWS fans, I write off their success as an AFL construct, I haven't any 45 years of GWS hate. Much rather them win instead of the loathsome Tigers.

Do you know that we have played 13 times against Freo on the MCG, and Freo lead 7-6. Says it all, really.

Maybe the reduced numbers in some categories and the increased numbers in scoring indicate a change of emphasis.

Clearly. Which makes Nev's journey from speculative pick and third best Jetta to possible AA nod a great story.

We'd have to overspend to get him, and while he's pretty good, he's not anywhere near that good.

Jezza is not Italian. Ian Stewart would be in my top 5 Italians players. -

Another Italian, SEN's Andy "Radar" Mario, also went to Marcellin. -

McCartin copped a bucketing at half time on the radio yesterday. -
I'm 55 years old, old enough to know better, but the explosive levels of frustration and anger cannot be good for me.

Know that Hogan and Lewis are redundant.

I could handle the Hawks' pain after a trio of flags.

Yes. Neville Crowe was suspended for an open hand slap at John Nicholls in the 1967 preliminary final and missed the grand final. That wasn't the only miss. Footage proved Crowe's slap clearly missed Nicholls, who put on a massive act, then refused to admit it at the tribunal. No tv evidence was admissible back then and Crowe's suspension stood.

When Dennis Jones didn't know how to use the interchange.

What I've liked most about weeks one and two was our ability to stymie both the Saints' and the Blues' rebound. They both play Clarko Footy, which has cut us up in the past, but in the main we have been able to slow down opposition ball movement. "They're out the back here" became "We're out the back here." The other thing I liked was the last minute of yesterday's second quarter. That was a massive laugh.

The Petracca v McCartin debate reprised

Do you mean hands as in handball, gathering the ball or marking? I actually think McCartin has better marking hands, he's definitely a cleaner mark. Hogan, on the other hand, is often a two-grab mark. Even last week - every time he had the sit and took a mark, it was via two or three or four grabs. However, Hogan puts a lot of body into a lot of his marks, which often leads to juggles, whereas most of McCartin's marks are via clear jumps at the ball. -

If I was a predatory chaser of ambulances, or an AFL flunky looking to make a knee jerk statement, I'm sure I could bumble my way to a duty of care issue. -
THE DROUGHT IS OVER by George on the Outer - POST MATCH DISCUSSION

Six or seven years ago I thought Nev Jetta was behind Bennell, Jurra, Wonna and Davey, and would be lucky to make it. Then time on the rookie list and injuries and bulk time at Casey. Fast forward to 2014 when Roos taught him how to defend, when to man up, when to zone off and how to play contact footy. Since 2014 he is a gun and possibly the best small forward stopper in the league. An All Aussie nod would not surprise. That confident contested chest mark from a wobbly high kick in the last quarter was evocative of Scarlett. (At least from where I was low down at the other end of the ground.) Great stuff, Nev. -

Will Riewoldt get reported for crushing Smith's shoulder into the turf? It was at least an obvious free kick. -
The longer the game went the better Salem got. His foot skills out of traffic are ay-leet.

The AFL website has been having a few problems the last few days. Not sure if that's related to your problem.
