  1. Oh the visual image you have conjured up is priceless!
  2. Google him. Shot a woman in the face through a glass door. He is now out of jail, she has a life sentence, having survived injuries which should have killed her. Her 'offence' which led to him shooting her was telling her flatmate to dump him because he was a nasty piece of work. So she got shot for telling the truth. Interesting that at the same time he was seeing the flatmate, he had already gotten Jesse's mother pregnant, eh? Just a nice bunch of people all round, and no surprise Jesse turned out the way he did after all. Jesse's mother obviously didn't bother to wait for the father of her child to get out of jail, and instead took up with some other drongo. Ergo the two co-offenders who helped Jesse attack an innocent person. One of them (I believe) plead guilty, obviously realising he had done the wrong thing and couldn't excuse it. Yet his brothers keep trying to blame the victim. Hopefully it backfires and they get a harsher sentence for wasting everyone's time. Unfortunately I don't hold out a lot of hope for that - we are in Victoria after all.
  3. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree does it? Dad shoots a defenceless woman in the face, son gangs up with half brothers to beat up a man who is just trying to assist someone else. Good quality genes in that family!
  4. I was told to take off my horns once because they might hurt somebody. Go figure....
  5. Don't get too excited - just watching the FS and they are saying that Melbourne have indicated that if GWS take Viney with their first pick, we won't use ours and will pass on him...
  6. Sheedy is just a bitter twisted old oxygen thief. The sooner the GWS mob wake up to the mess he has made of the club, the sooner they might start winning games.
  7. Junior didn't defect, we gave him the boot. We are the villains in that story, and I for one would be happy to see him back in a coaching role when his time at GWS is done. If you saw the way the Melbourne boys reacted to him, he still has a lot of respect from them and it is a pity we threw him away when he still had so much to give.
  8. Why did you ban him? He didn't say anything more offensive than other things I have seen posted - he provided his real name as requested, and can you be sure he wasn't telling the truth about being the first one up? Choko said he remembered the question - that is a good indicator that it was asked. Unless you were there and saw the first person who spoke, how can you be sure he wasn't the one? Interested to know the criteria for being banned, I thought you had to be offensive or attack others, is that not so?
  9. Well, apparently Jimmy's autobiography that is due out in a couple of months deals with his disappointment with the way Scully behaved, so although Jimmy didn't actually boo, he did have his say. I am not bothered about the fact that Scully left, more power to him for getting paid far more money than he is worth, but I find the way he left dishonourable and shameful. I always wondered why GWS went after Scully with such a vengeance, but then didn't Sheedy get knocked back for a coaching gig at Melbourne? Considering the catty spiteful way he has been behaving this week, it seems perhaps there was a personal score to settle which interfered with better judgement...
  10. The nature of private companies is that they are effectively an extension of the individual. If he was a co-founder, he would own a significant number of the shares, therefore has major voting power in any decisions made by the company. And stepping down as CEO doesn't necessarily mean that he is no longer a director, does it? It was the RIGHT move to make, and I am proud of the club for making it. If this dweeb is still a major player with the company, then why would we want to associate with someone who behaves in this manner. The photo shopped photo of Liam was offensive enough on its own, without anything else. Sponsorless jumpers are a great idea - it means you wouldn't need to buy a new jumper every year, just a new sponsor patch to sew on!
  11. I have to take exception to that - what about Bizz? He was a hard worker in the back line and he was a good player for us.
  12. A win is a win, no matter what!
  13. James might not have been wearing a Melbourne tie, but interestingly enough was not wearing a GWS tie either. I find that very interesting. Just watching an old game from 1998 and a very young James McDonald kicked a couple of crucial goals. What a great lineup it is, playing with Jimmy I can see James, Robbo, Ooze, Schwarz, Febey, Leoncelli and a host of others I really miss.
  14. I saw Nathan Carroll there too. A bit sad, on his own, not with his old mates, but obviously still there to pay his respects. He was on 'our' side of the road - with the fans and not the invitees. It was a good moving service, although I thought it was a shame that the hearse didn't do a lap of honour around the G afterwards!
  15. It was a very well delivered, and very considered piece. Gary should be proud of his words.
  16. I am probably asking the obvious here, but where do I get that terrific song? I needed that little smile today!
  17. A very sad loss to Jim's family, his friends, his Reach colleagues & kids, the club, and the wider community. Jim's reach was long and he touched many people. It is a huge testament to Jim to see how much his passing has affected so many people who never even met him. Rest in Peace Big Fella.
  18. I am sure if he has any say in it, he will still be around for a long time - let's just hope Jimmy wins this one!
  19. It must have been the winter weight doona!
  20. Not that it had anything to do with his playing - but I just love watching Neita walk! Doesn't he have the funniest walk? I remember at Carlton once when Mick Martyn was on his last legs, Neita kept walking around and around virtually in circles when the ball wasn't in the forward line. I couldn't work out what he was doing, but couldn't take my eyes off his walk. Finally the penny dropped - he was tiring Martyn out! It worked too. But I really loved watching Neita walk!
  21. Love it! Falling off my couch with laughter!
