  1. Yep, Simple forum speculation as predicted. Thanks Adrian OB for clearing it up.
  2. Source?
  3. On the way UP is = Improvements in game, check his stats for this year against his previous years, it is more consistent and an improvement on previous years. It's not about where or who...... It's about getting to more contests, being a valuable contributor on a consistent basis, within the confines of the team. Too many people expect a level of requirement such as a Buckley, a Harvey, a Judd, a Voss, a Brown....its not going to get to that level. It would be nice, but it won't happen.
  4. Spurs on bottom...
  5. Bingo!
  6. Correct. He is on the way up.
  7. Almost right. Pavlich didn't make the starting 18. There could of been more worthy for the interchange bench IMO, ie. Ling. Jonathan Brown and Bradshaw kicked more than Pavlich, Rob Murphy had a stellar year and Ryan O'Keefe was unlucky. All of these I would have had ahead of Pavlich who has already won 5 All Australians before last night, making it a compelling case. In my opinion, Adrian Anderson should not be on this selection committee. He went over to America, he went to Beijing and missed a weekend of footy. It is a farce that he is on this panel.
  8. Best skills in general on the list? Better than Morton or McLean? I doubt it.
  9. No and No for me. Brent Stanton is not quick enough IMO and is just an average-good midfielder, who can't kick both feet. We already have a smorgasboard of them. Why oh why, would you take Brad Fisher? If Carlton supporters are frustrated with him, why would we take him? And lose a handy backman who is improving.
  10. Because he is a required player Eastie. When out, Bailey can still tweak the structure as he see's fit. When fit and firing he reads the play better than most and is a very handy acquisition and can help Bailey re-structure. As dandeeman says it would be a bonus upon return. But you don't necessarily have to totally disregard Rivers and plan without him at present. With Rivers in you could try Garland up forward for example, just one of several options Bailey might have in store.
  11. Green will not go for a pick 15, for all we know he may not even be traded, but if he were it would be mid to high-second round pick (ie pick 20-28). T.Johnstone went at 14 last year (with a Draft Pick No#1 CV).
  12. Geez, you're a hard marker, not much difference between a C+ and a B really! (Just a B-) And if we get Watts, we may be picking up the closest thing to a A+ as it gets....
  13. Yes, more than real price/value, but you've gotta pay a little overs to get them. I agree that $1.6m over 4 years is nuts.
  14. The title of the thread is Mock Trades,.............not Crock Trades.
  15. Yes, Indeed. They're conservative approach with him whilst understandable, its certainly frustrating for the Melbourne faithful. No one wants him to breakdown again I'm sure. Over preseason, once he commences training they'll have to label him with "handle with care" and "fragile" stickers. If some clown hurts him during their drills, lookout! <_<
  16. You know, they're not too shabby those odds of $4.50, and considering umpires ARE voting...well....I'd take those odds if I was betting, rather than the shorter quotes with Ablett and Bartel to win it.
  17. Good to see them all sticking together as a team.... Russell Robertson was being interviewed on Fox Sports News last night...fwiw. Came accross very professional at the news desk.
  18. Bell is not exactly getting a ringing endorsement on this thread...his lack of peripheral vision prevents him from sighting the carrots in the fruit & veg section in the supermarket. Therefore his Vitamin D intake which is a necessity for good vision is lacking. Do you think he could find the goals in a tight contested situation somewhere within the forward 50m arc AT AFL LEVEL? This is not the U18 Championships.... Didn't Dennis Commetti once say "Bell, moving around with the ball in his hands, not quite sure of which option to use..........which brings him undone.....and is caught holding the ball!"
  19. Pavlich won't make it.
  20. The list is currently every bit as good as the 3 and 19 Win-Loss ratio suggests.
  21. He'd offer Sydney just as much - if not more than Everitt did for Sydney this year. Which was stuff all. Like MFC Supporter says, "Shhh, don't tell Sydney"
  22. You've got to be kidding, this kid can play. He grassed two kicks, the other possessions were fine, he can get to the ball and appears very hungry. He wants the pill! I don't know which player you were looking at Freak, but he wore No.4. for WA. Action is not ideal you say? To me it is. And he's a classy left footer too.
  23. Podsy has been a fantastic player at VFL level for Werribee. They will go close this season in the finals.
  24. Plan the future without Rivers? You've got to be kidding?
  25. Good summary of PJ Demonland. High Tower has improved in 2008, and look forward to him gaining more confidence and getting more improvement in 2009. Outside chance for Goal of the Year too.
