  1. Mundy and Murphy signed for Freo. http://www.afl.com.au/News/NEWSARTICLE/tab...px?newsId=67814
  2. Adem Yze - One of the best players for Melbourne from 1998-2005. Known for his precision kicking at his best. I prefer to remember his valuable contributions to the club - such as his 1998 season - one of his best seasons, rather than his last 2-3 seasons where he has struggled for form and consistency.
  3. Yuck! It has white. Who designed this? This would clash just as much as the jumper the team wore against StKilda at the Dome! Has a bit of Scorpions about it...
  4. Turncoat? BB - what happened? You didn't brainwash your daughter? Come on......
  5. Reilly, I would imagine would be a required player for Adelaide. But hypothetically, if they really do rate Bell. Swap them. Reilly hasn't had the best of years. So why give them a pick?
  6. Maric is classier than Banner. He doesn't OOze class, but he finds the pill in truck loads. My source says about Banner that he was by far the best player at the Jets this season. In relation to the draft : - Where or when he goes -its open slather. Could go anywhere from 15-50 basically on a needs basis. Has played really well of late at Jets. Is considered lazy on the track. If he worked harder he could be a pretty handy type I'm told. He can find the pill plenty but his disposal lets him down. He's not classy, he's a "blue collar worker". If a team is after an in and under type, he's definitely an option. In summary of Banner: He's your Matty Priddis type if you ask me.
  7. Quite right. Bell for Bentley + pick.
  8. ............At the 2pm deadline. I'm sure Nudge can mention them now they are all in the past.................can't you Nudgey!?
  9. What are you saying BB........Daniel Bell to Port Adelaide for Adam Thompson?
  10. They're probably having a short break? Mad Monday extended perhaps...
  11. Careful. Otherwise it will be Tata! And certainly no... Bang Goal!
  12. This option may be gathering momentum.... Dees may make a play for this kid.
  13. A chance. We'll see what transpires after the Doggies season finishes and who retires. Thats not ridiculous by any stretch....just yet.
  14. What reason is that?
  15. I agree with this summary of De Boer. There are others that are better and quicker. I'd be over the moon with getting both. But that would be highly unlikely to nab both in the draft. However, give me one of these and I'll be a very happy camper.
  16. There is your answer.
  17. Well you did say "hypothetical", but droping the Melbourne would find the quickest way to extinction, and would be a most thoughtless act. We would lose $$$$$$$. Melbourne is our name, we would lose all our identity, and all we have stood for. We are the pioneers of the game, the birth place. We have won 12 Premierships as Melbourne. As Titan Uranus has already pointed out, without Melbourne we are nothing. You ask how we would lose money? If Melbourne sold our naming rights we would lose members big time. Members equates to finance.
  18. Spot on. They will really miss Berbatov and Keane, they're leading goal scorers last season...
  19. Personally, I don't think he has what it takes for the midfield IMO. But, by all means throw him in the deep end and see if he'll sink or swim. I don't think he has the engine and after 5 minutes in there he would look pedestrian. On occassions in the back line when fatigued he looks slow. He has a turning circle like the Queen Mary. He does have bursts and looks strong, but he takes too long when in possession and has a tendency to get caught alot through lack of vision, and that IMO is why he won't cut it in the midfield. Because Bailey will not want turnovers.
  20. That's right. Edit: P.S. Fwiw here is a quote from Mark Robinson, Herald Sun in his blog with Herald Sun readers earlier today: - "Tough gig picking the best 22. we (HS wtriters) didn't select Pav in our team, but it seems to me that although he had a good enough year it was a case of the selectors perhaps being too scared to leave him out. Brown, Bradshaw, Roughead could've got it. Pav's journeys into the midfield, where he also won the ball, might've swayed the selectors." 21. Not really, does nothing of the sort. If Warnock goes to Blues, White won't end up at Carlton or VISY.
  22. Has been for a quite a while now. Apparently Tim who has access, has been ill for sometime. Send an email to [email protected], and wait it out. Be sure to give your preferred username and password too.
  23. Thanks for the heads up on this Supreme Demon. I had not heard about MoM. This could be something worthwhile. Cheers.
  24. That's mature. Tell someone who cares.
  25. I'm tipping his Favourite song is IMAGINE by John Lennon. Let Nudge use his imagination. Fwiw I like the look of McKinley, but West Coast should move heaven and earth to keep him. Boyle could be available. I don't think the Hawks will want to stand in his way if he wants an opportunity elsewhere. It would be hard for him to crack into their current forward line.
