  1. Quick-Eze helps...
  2. You are somewhat right. However, IMO all selections these days are critical. Maybe I'm being too hard I see Binnell, Jetta, Jurrah and even Bail as very important selections for the club, just as important as these two you highlight. Of course there might be a tad more expectation of them being picked up at 17 and 19 respectively, as it comes with the territory. Just as pick 1 with Watts does. What is critical is a collective improvement amongst established players at the club already. The likes of Sylvia, Miller, Jones, Moloney, Buckley, Bell, Jamar, Johnson, Bate, Petterd and Dunn to name a 'few'.
  3. 191/193cm tall enough Mo?
  4. Brett Lee singled out by Ricky before today's test to lead Australia and cause Sth AFrica to self-destruct. PUNTER STARTS THE MIND GAMES VICS WELL ON THE WAY TO KNOCKING OFF WA - AND IN THE PROCESS BOOKING A SPOT IN SHEFFIELD SHIELD FINAL AGAIN- IMO
  5. Definitely one way of looking at it Mo. It does seem odd. Here's an article link with a few quotes from Barry about Jurrah... DEMONS EYE SLICE OF DREAMTIME
  6. Are you giving us TheShaft?
  7. ...and sustaining our club's ontoward financial viability for future success!
  8. That's what I like to see too. I did take note of your earlier post stating "why they should, not why they shouldn't", as I feel the same way. WHilst we can highlight deficiencies some players have in terms of leadership, we can all be a little more positive towards our players.
  9. Who was the source of this comment from the radio Monty?
  10. That's much better. Yes I did ask for an opinion. Now you have quite rightly identified in detail the traits. TBH I agree with them. Now I know where you sit in terms of MFC's leadership issue. Fwiw I don't think they are beyond criticism in the areas you mention specifically. I think it is important that you should express the specifics initially when you post, so you won't be taken the wrong way when you make a summation as in this case. Ie. "serious question marks" With regards to your sig, its irrelevant in this discussion really, regardless of me bringing it up. I brought this up when you accused me of fence sitting. Which is clearly incorrect for you will find I prefer McLean as Captain. Because I think he is the right fit for our current list. At least we agree on what we think is best for the team in terms of captaincy.
  11. Whilst I'm probably just as excited with the turnover of our list, I also think you need to keep your "arousal" in check. Smaller portions of Viagra recommended.
  12. Whilst I share your thoughts with the feeling at the Summit, and the significant changes within the playing list for '09, the proof will be in the pudding so to speak once the ball is bounced. Our last 3 games of the '08 season were well short of the mix of clubs outside the top 8. Ie. Richmond, Port Adelaide. A new look team may take the field with new enthusiasm, but they still need games under their belts and their will be much more inexperienced players than last season. I can't see Mfc getting higher than 14th position TBTH. Pleasantly surprised if we do though . You should nominate freak for the next goalkicking coach!!!! NOT.
  13. Yes, good point. Good perspective you've shown here, rather than have your head buried in the sand like others.
  14. Jurrah might like the open spaces of Casey during summer training, which might help him settle a little better. Lets not forget he has been down to the big smoke before, so he knows what to expect.
  15. That would be good freak. However, I'd like the Dees to get the jump on the Dawks and not have to play in Qld. In fact I wouldn't mind if they win the first couple as there is greater prize money each week, and the Dees need all the $$$$ we can get.
  16. Correct. Mud slinging is the pits.
  17. I checked Richmonds membership earlier today. 12,570 Game Day Members. That may be a little higher now that Cuz is on their list. edit: - (18/12/08) Tigers signed on up to 1,600 members after Cuz arrived at Tigerland.
  18. Whilst I know we don't like comparisons some times, I wonder if Jurrah will stand next to Nik Nat in the next couple of years when we play West Coast?
  19. Thanks to Gerrard, Liverpool got a point. Important point considering the scores of the other big 3, nevertheless.
  20. Its all about the Tigers and Cuz. You will get more of it tomorrow Iva, when he has his first training session with his new club. He will speak to the media tomorrow. Turn it off Iva if you're sick of it. The lead up to Round 1 Richmond v Carlton or Cousins v Judd will be huge. Big risk by the Tigers, but not taking Cousins would have been seen as a bigger risk for Richmond after they wanted to take him at pick 7 before being refused by the AFL. The supporters were starting to get 'hungry' and if they didn't select him at pick 6 they would have had a taste for blood. DEES TAKE NT Smokey at No.1
  21. I've since learned that from another thread in this forum. Would have been a great tour, one for the memory bank. Great to see Connolly's proactive response after learning one of the kids favourite players was Robbo too!
  22. Zomer looked very green/raw last year. That is a pleasing report on Zomer. It's amazing with little 1%-5% improvements from players, what a difference it can make. Bring on 2009. Did you and WJ get a chance to have a walk on the lush green ground at Casey, have a kick?
  23. Must be. Because we took him instead of Sibosado.
  24. Well done Pinball, good tip. Forward/Ruck.
  25. Or Richmond for that matter!
