Jaded....you will have to update your famous tracker.....Rivers got through ok. No. It's not to early to ask Watts to pull on the boots. Our forward line is performing like a black hole at times. There is a sequel to the movie "White man can't jump", hollywood producers are putting pen to paper at this minute for a new script........"Bate can't jump", starring Matthew Bate.

Votes: - 6 - Moloney 5- Cheney 4 - Green 3 - Garland 2 - Jones 1 - Petterd - couple of goals, provided the only real spark up forward, presented. Worth a vote. McDonald just missed.

Incorrect once again freak. The Kangaroos with McIntosh, Hale & Petrie were important in their sides win. McIntosh tried hard all day and had Johnson and Spencer chasing him, McIntosh took some telling marks in defence and pushed forward to kick a few telling goals in his sides 34point win. Hardly irrelevant. McIntosh certainly took his medicine over the summer after being labelled by Laidley as perhaps a trade in trade week last October. Correct.

Agree Redleg. They could make a coach of you yet.
-
Well, he did sign a 3 year contract. And...last year was his first year as coach, so I'm pretty sure you're on the ball there.
-
Fingers crossed. The ruck is the key for North, whilst if we can win on the ground in the clearances and pepper away at the inside 50's and make the most of it...we could claim the 4 points. Plus another 2000 members by this time next week!

It does feel like that. Never again for me.
-
Happier with that team. Thanks B_R_F_E.

Agree. If the players aren't approaching the game with the right mindset, my belief is the buck stops with the coach with regards to preparation. Isn't it the coach(s) job to try and achieve the right mindset for a big game such as last night? Or were the Richmond players caught in a Cousins trance last night??
-
Actually, that's what I meant. Thanks. Of course. I'm probably looking at it from a hungry media pack's perspective in relation to the Tiger faithful and Wallace, if god forbid they are 0-3 going into Round 4.

No Martin. Meesen in...Jones out..hmm

Last time I checked we're in dire need of rain (for the last 10 years), yet you've had plenty of it up there.....any chance we can swap the weather and let us have all the rain?? :D Wow. Stigga you're sensational. It's like groundhog day with you. aka Bill Murray.... . Giving the latest updates and all.

Thanks QC. The question remains, which one is easy on tour, which one not-so-easy??............... Indeed.
-
Yeah, so am I. Can't help bad luck with injuries. ie Grimes (back) Hale & Pace..........hehe.......I mean Hale & Petrie.

Heard your neighbour Russell Crowe up there say that the Bunnies have signed up quite a few financial members. Breaking all sorts of numbers. Seems they are heading in the right direction, probably saving him putting his hand in his pocket anyway. Venom???? You would love it down here...

Fair enough, it's a betrayal of the supporters up north. I can understand that. As long as you understand why the NRL do it - don't forget there is alot of financial gain out of it too for the code, including Television rights within QLD and NSW (despite delays), as well as increasing the market within Melbourne. With regard to getting the numbers to justify the move........I think it's more than likely they will be taken care of..

Feel for Raines & Cousins to some degree in their comebacks. But that's where it ends. Terry Wallace. Tsk. Tsk. Whilst I agree with Redleg just a fraction, that Richmond are better than what they served up. You can only be as good as the opposition allow you to be. Carlton were fantastic. The 'Crew' down at VISY have been quietly confident regarding their match against Richmond all week. And it showed. Back onto Terry Wallace. This bloke has been spruiking that this season is the year to make the 8. He's been looking forward to the fruits of his labour this season. 5 years in the making it's been. Whilst it still is only Round 1. An 83 point drubbing, followed by upcoming games against Geelong (S), and the Bulldogs. It's not exactly the start you want with your sights on the 8. The Tiger supporters already know that. Round 4 will be interesting, in more ways than one. Unfortunately Cousins won't be available.

I don't think 30K by monday. Maybe close to 28K? I would have thought around 32K more likely. I would be pleasantly surprised with the club reaching 35K.

Debt Demolition - is it the time right for round 2?
H_T replied to Salems Lot's topic in Melbourne Demons
No. This is where the players show their stuff to generate more income from the fans in memberships and merchandise. The tin rattle is finished for now. -
Correct, obviously the MCC thinks $90,000 per match each is enough. The AFL and clubs think $200 K. Will the AFL and clubs negotiate a better deal or will they accept the MCC's offer? From what I heard on SEN from the MCC, they've put on the table what they believe is a fair offer and are unlikely to budge... From the clubs and AFL's stance they would believe they can get a better deal. By mentioning possibly a 3rd stadium for better returns for clubs would be of some concern to the current two stadium administrations in Melbourne. Even if it's not at the blueprint stage. Vlad has mentioned it a while back.
-
Stand corrected. Game 1. Just as good really to see who delivers the first blow then. Agree with your suggestion.
-
Come a long way since picking up the guitar.
-
You're quite right, the MCC doesn't. But in the view of the clubs the contract is ancient now, the landscape has changed. The MCC could sit back and just keep paying off their debt and look to upgrade the Southern Stand soon. However, the MCC/MCG Trust acknowledge that - confirmed by their offer - the clubs of the AFL underwrite the financial gain the MCC/MCG Trust(Government) and Dome receives. They (clubs) are somewhat stakeholders in all this. If there was no AFL, how would these stadiums survive and maintain themselves. There is some obligation to the clubs receiving their slice of the pie.

Anything to do with Henin out of the picture......or Williams sisters reaching their twilight....maybe I'm just being a little sceptical.

I think Jetta is closer.
