  1. Crystal ball gazing this. Obviously a stab in the dark here: -...... H-Fwds: Wonaeamirri Watts © Sylvia Fwds: Garland Butcher Maric Coach: T.Viney
  2. Agree. Don't think he'll go top 10. There will more than likely be a few up and comers at the Champ's.
  3. Not so sure if this thread will have enough gas in the tank. Yes Morton (4) played. Strauss (19). Blease (17). Watts (1). Grimes (14). So who is the other one that makes up the 6 in the top 20 in the last two drafts again?
  4. Football Manager. Small world. I thought that too. Thought of Plough at Richmond for a second. They had to have some plan for list management with a young list I suppose. Hopefully Tim keeps the TPP in perspective, and makes sure no-one gets to sign a three year contract like Yze's. No disrespect to Yze, good on him for getting such a deal. (I think Green's 3 yr deal will be fulfilled on the field).
  5. Love it how Y_M types in the above prediction nearly a year ago... Then 'cleverly' edits and deletes Warnock and Garland from the delist list , a year later.......and decorates it with words such as 'flourish'... Then calls himself a Genius after the edit. Wakey, wakey....hand off gOLLy! Bingo 45!! Ahhh Y_M you've done it again. No room for the faint hearted...
  6. Sh!t....is this a bad dream.....already our injury list is looking like last years. Didn't Hird have the same thing? Hasn't taken long for this to come out. Prior to Round 2. Well done Tingles. You said you hated to be the bearer of bad news.....this isn't bad, it's f!@$#^d. Well if it's 4 months, we won't see him until August- late August, they may as well say 'season'. You're not wrong in this instant.
  7. Clothes-lined. Just ask Mikey J.
  8. Whilst he would be a loss 'IF' we lost him, I wouldn't imagine it would be a 'MASSIVE' loss, such as S.Thompson proportions. Going by the feedback he gets on these forums, despite one of his better seasons last year. Miller & Petterd are the obvious choices in terms of returning 'home'. Did I read something with regard to GC having more salary cap to spend initially?
  9. Golly?! I wouldn't wish that upon anyone......well.......I wouldn't want Eddie inside anyway.....because I'd still like to be on 'Who wants to be a Millionnaire' with Eddie as host... My one wish.............is to see premierships flow for a particular AFL side which home is the MCG, after 45 years of drought. That's not asking too much, is it?
  10. 49,611. (+/-200)
  11. Why talk of him in past tense like that? He IS a great Melbourne person, not WAS.

  14. Thanks for that Titan. That is really interesting. I had a feeling Melbourne was up there for actual results. It confirms my thoughts on Sydney as one of the better wickets despite the return of 14 results. I agree with RR's assertion that curators maybe influenced by Ground management and stakeholders in TV rights - to some degree. There is a balance, but you would want 4-5 days of play evertime you host a Test Match. In particular at Melbourne and Sydney venues. I'd imagine management would be feeling quite nervous in the first two sessions of a test match. Crossing everything for a minimum of wickets to be taken.
  15. Gee, Vossy is on a good "wicket" if these salaries are accurate by Mike Sheahan's estimates.... edit: Malthouse appears to be overpaid a little in terms of results. No wonder he wants to stay...
  16. Will we be one of these teams near or at the bottom in 2010?? Whilst I hope not, I don't think we will be one of these teams late next year.
  17. Nothing wrong with a bit of banter or sledging or even sticking up for McDonald (skipper) after being clothes-lined, despite not winning a premiership. Just as long as he doesn't overstep the line. Which he hasn't. It's only your view that see's him as a goose. I'm glad he's back. Add's a bit more mongrel and push and shove to the team to be honest.
  18. Whilst it's important for Dees fans to turn up and help support the team on Saturday. It's even more important for Collingwood fans to reciprocate and turn up in droves Queens Birthday clash. :D Demon fans should make a banner, "Welcome Colling@#$d (Tennants) to OUR ground, the MCG."
  19. You can add lack or forward line presence or personnel too. Yes we are fit. But our side lacks these values which enable a side to "compete consistently": - 1) Experience 2) Structure 3) Skill/Quality (composure under pressure) When you are lacking in these areas OR lacking of these components compared to other teams....you're more often than not facing an uphill battle.
  20. Couldn't find this story on the Footy Message Board, so HERE it is...

    The Kennel

They have in the last few years, I think we might see the Dogs progress into the height department this year up forward. Josh Hill has a great leap on him. Keep an eye on his form throughout this year.
  23. Sandra Sully with the late news.......
  24. Certainly agree with Sydney on top. In terms of return of test results in the last 10 years, I wonder which city/wicket comes out on top?
