  1. Quoted today Richmond have already offered him $500k and he wants $550k plus Thats alot of bananas
  2. Roughead does so well because he doesn't have to play FF and have the #1 defender (what Buddy has to do). As much as Hawthorn doesn't like to admit it their forward success rests on that and without Buddy Roughead would have a hard time. Just my thoughts.
  3. Yeah comparing him to a two time Brownlow winner, premiership winning captain, five time Australian and multiple club best and fairests is a bit of a long stretch.
  4. Who will they get to replace Buddy? Hale, Burgoyne, Gibson, Guerra, Lake, Hodge, Mitchell, Osborne, and Sewell are all pushing 30 or over. This year and next year are probably their best shots at another flag before a minor rebuild so I reckon they'd be chasing a FF rather than a mid if Buddy does go. But who knows!
  5. He will go where to who can pay him the most and the longest. No offence to him but he is the type of player that doesnt really have a big future after football. Won't be a commentator, wont be an assistant, wont be a coach.
  6. St Kilda probably wouldnt take him even though they should Carlton will most likely over pay and take Daisy so cant see him going there Melbourne has the money GWS has the money Hawthorn will surely be needing to fill in the spots for their next rebuild (Hodge, Lewis, Mitchell) but they need to think about a possible replacement for Buddy if he goes Dusty's biggest motivator is money. Just depends who thinks they can turn him around and put up with his antics. I'd prefer Swallow than Martin.
  7. RR you know better than that to pull out the "Watson did not have any medical/ pharmaceutical training" card People who operate under ASADA/WADA rules are responsible for what enters their bodies, period. This includes who they have as doctors and advice they are given. All he had to do was pick up the phone and call the ASADA help line to check a substance. It's black and white. What inst is exactly what they took - and for that we will have wait for the ASADA report... which we will probably never get to see beyond the executive summary.
  8. And fair enough, its all pretty murky at the moment.
  9. Demonology changed ownership on Friday. Turns out the brothers who purchased it weren't that liked as posters and one was playing bad cop with poor behaviour whilst the other was playing good cop and pushing the sick owner to hand it over so he could clean it up. No money changed hands. The new owners pushed some very hard line save the polar bear censorship rules and started deleting posts, threads and posters like a fat kid at a buffet. Also been some question marks over the motives of the new owners wanting to make money through the site. The new owners are part of a group called D2D who are an demons supporter group who do volunteer work for the club in regards to phone calls/marketing. No one has mentioned the legality of the takeover so I assume it was legal; but one of the biggest issues are privacy and details. Unfortunately there are no options to delete your account and people cant log into theirs to change their passwords. I don't use the site so I have no vested interest in it, and objectively just looks like a series of unfortunate events but that's life. Ill cop a bit of flak for that last comment - alot of heated emotions here - but there are worse things in life.
  10. "I signed that consent form and my understanding, after it being given through (club doctor) Bruce Reid and the club, that I was receiving AOD... that it was legal at the time and that was actually what I was told I was being given." Jobe Watson said he took AOD and that he received it from Reid... They knew what they were taking/adminstering
  11. "D2D is a fully approved MFC Volunteer Program." http://www.d2d.net.au/ (After the Max Gawn announcement)
  12. Roos lost Jolly at the end of 2009 because unfortunately Jolly's wife suffered from post-natal depression and they had to move back to Victoria to be with family. Jolly isn't the same calibre has he was then. Roos is probably in the best position to work that out, but I can't help but feel we have our own Jolly (Jamar) and already have a few rucks. Going to be an interesting trade period...
  13. Alot of pressure on him now. Had an uneventful first 5 years and really no more excuses left come next season. Break a leg! (not literally)
  14. What a game: - Wines was on fire, saw him get three clearances in a row including being a third man up in the ruck - Umpiring was pretty pathetic. Alot of illegal disposals by Geelong but never holding the ball; credit to Port though as they didn't let it bother them - Port lost the game in the third. Geelong had 22 inside 50's to their 5. Can't wait to see what Port can do next year.
  15. You know it's going to be a bad article when they use fantasy points to make a point...
  16. Not what we need right now but will be interesting to see what Collingwood give him up for. Round 1 asking a lot - no established club will give that up for him and expansion clubs will be concerned with the bad image.
  17. Contracted till 2014, same with Blease
  18. Just found the link, yep round 3 against WCE. I'd have it in the top 3 just because he was running back and taken out Elliots
