  1. so was a certain corporal back in the previous world war maybe eddie will see us as his "poland" in his fourth reich quest for more lebensraum
  2. one thing fitzy is not is slow!
  3. the 10 graphics for options above this line "Demonland Forums → Demonland→ Melbourne Demons" did not migrate
  4. Does this mean Eddie will be starting WWIII? I'd have thought $1,000,000 pa would just about have bought two decent mids
  5. alive and breathing here. all seems ok so far. avatars survived. well done
  6. I certainly think double discounting (as in this case) should be discretionary He should have only got one of the discounts
  7. Well that's pretty much last minute. 3 days before trade period FS bidding is before trade period
  8. Somewhere not far off 15,000
  9. OK, here's one right out of left field What if we didn't nominate JV as a FS and tried to draft him with the no.12 compo pick? Would depend on where JV is rated by the 'experts' come Draft time and assuming he is not rated top 10 Would the other 9 clubs want to take the risk on JV? Can we leave the option of nominating him for FS until the last minute? Discuss
  10. Change the post heading. He got 5 weeks Misleading Most here said 4-6 and he got 5 The issue really is the discounting
  11. thanks for your entertaining and informative summary maldonboy its good to see the game was of a high standard with good skills - makes a nice change and great to knock off top side and last years premier - congrats to scorps
  12. sorry card, when you said " and a bit of you know what we'd all love" i took it you meant a bit of the dirty stuff a'la sheedy, maxwell etc
  13. ah, back to front then - thanks now, with RFA how feasible/realistic do you think it would be to TRADE a RFA player?
  14. yeah jane he has had some off-field issues club suspension 2 week at start of this year for drinking during rehab driving unregistered car - no club action DUI in 2008 causing filth to lose .05 drinking sponsor but, i maintain, a clean on-field player (until yesterday?)
  15. actually deeluded I don't really see the significance of 'launched off the ground' (though the mrp seem to) at the time he launched off the ground he was still (possibly) in the contest with the option of marking or spoiling. in a split second he changed his mind and took the option to charge the player with a hip and shoulder with resultant contact to simpsons head it was his (bad) change of decision that was the telling factor. buckley said as much in his press conf
  16. rpfc, Beamer might be UFA if he is in top 25% of salary. n'est ce pas?
  17. actually he has always been a very clean player (nothing like your maxwell type) he has a very clean record and this incident is out of character like i said before, in this case it was just a [censored] decision to give up on the mark/spoil option and instead bump he will pay the penalty, but this doesn't make him a sniper
  18. actually it was a 7 goal loss. they had 13 more scoring shots, so 6.7 = 43 points. 10 goal defeat is a bit much the rest I agree with. 2/10 for skills 2/10 for footy smarts i don't get the structures or game plan. The backs were forwards, forwards were backs and there was a sprinkling of mids in strange places
  19. Indeed - 2/10 skills - 2/10- footy smarts 8/10 bananas @ $2kg
  20. Simpson has a broken jaw - just confirmed 426
  21. filth at fifth has a nice ring to it
  22. silly [censored]. he could have had an attempt at marking and legitimately hit him
  23. yes, that would be a perfect storm wouldn't it?
  24. you lost me Paul but i can't think straight with this throbbing headache
  25. at the moment the only thing we can develop is a giant supporter headache
