  1. Yeah, a bit like the AFL says were gonna have some horse trading and we're gonna call it a Draft. And rule no 1 is no horse trading .-- .... .- - / - .... . / ..-. ..- -.-. -.- Di-dah-dah Di-di-di-dit Di-dah Dah, Dah Di-di-di-dit Dit, Di-di-dah-dit Di-di-dah Dah-di-dah-dit Dah-di-dah
  2. Well luckily they didn't get too specific and we didn't ask for any specifics so I guess that gives us (and the AFL) plenty of room to manoeuvre.
  3. If GWS and GCS's genuine picks 1 and 2 would not be JV, then them not bidding for JV with their no1 or 2 picks, could hardly be described as manipulation. All they would have to do in the FS 'draft' is be honest to their true intentions. For this reason I think it would be arguable that this is not draft manipulation In fact, if they did bid for Viney when they didn't really want him as a no 1 or 2 pick then this would arguably be manipulation. (The above assumes of course that we finish 16th above GCS and GWS)
  4. I wonder if the Dorks still have that Form 4 for him, or would it have expired by now
  5. I'm really struggling to think of one
  6. because he is out of contract this year because filth have salary cap issues and a number of unsigned potential top earners not being FA a deal would have to be done with Filth+Beames and we hold a few aces
  7. too true. if we picked him we'd get crucified by all the dl naysayers
  8. Haha, good luck.....I tried once and he went all coy about it probably the last team he played for - Ringwood Primary FC
  9. Nah, to big a go home factor with Jesus
  10. LOL - assumes that they can find a carlton official who is less thick than Brock!
  11. I'm glad you put Jamar's 'dominance' in quotes as I think in this case the stats lie and the Russ is having a very ordinary year just racking up useless stats tapping the ball onto his bootlaces. A number of times on Sunday he had a clear hit at the ball where he could have hit it hard towards goal for his mids to run onto it and he just palmed it backwards and downwards into the scrum.
  12. Haha. I left him out 'cos I couldn't spell his name in a month of Sundays. Should have had Brian Royal though
  13. I agree he looks the goods but you lost me with Hart/Hudson comparison
  14. We should have a poll on who is to blame obvious perps Philfy Phil Kevin Shadey HWFUA Barry Prendergast Dean Bailey Jack Watts Cale Morton Juice Newton Jamie Bennell (for old dee's sake) Ron Barassi Norm Smith Andrew Dumbitriou Anyone in the Media (except TheOx) The Umpires Edit:JB
  15. apparently he was to be moved to CHF when/if a certain deity came to hawthorn he also always kicked for goal with a flat punt (not torp) instead of a drop punt best FF ever, but not as entertaining as some and the advice of picking out something beyond the goals was common advice in those days
  16. must be getting a bad dose of the bradgreenitis
  17. ah my bad. attention span of a goldfish,
  18. Gysberts and Strauss would hardly be "blooding" which is, I thought, what this thread was about Would like to see what Cook, Couch and Davis could do at senior level sometime this year
  19. And woe betide any poor soul who is visited upon by rpfc's pity
  20. Old Dee if you are still wondering what to do with all those scarves, I saw a lady on Sunday wearing a large cape made out of old Dees scarves sewn together. It looked very impressive and quite warm I would have thought. I think it was just 4 scarves sewn together lengthwise A few more and you could have a great grandkid's bed cover. Does Mrs OD sew? (I assume you don't)
