  1. did you mean scared, scarred or sacred? I'm confused and I know your grammar is wanting.
  2. I agree that does sound illogical maybe some of our confusion is the difference between 'trading' and 'using' (activating) a compo pick you can trade any year up until someone activates them I hope someone can clear this up because when you add up the four types it could be a considerable number and would certainly skew the nd if all were allowed this year
  3. Well if that is true, and the same applies for FA compo picks, the draft positions in Round 1 and 2 this year could change substantially Makes a lot of our crystal balling possibly pointless Factors affecting ND (other than ladder) 1] Priority picks assigned now by AFL for low finishing clubs 2] Activated this year Compo Picks due to GCS/GWS poaching 3] Compo picks due to GWS poaching this year 4] Compo picks due to FA this year
  4. I meant ones that might be awarded this year (not last year)....................but might be wrong Are there any references?
  5. Hey wait a minute.....I have so played football......there
  6. If i understand correctly GWS OOC player compo picks if used in the same year are deprecated in value
  7. Thanks JJ. That article still leaves a lot of uncertainty If the picks occur this year then it could mess big time with the ND rounds 1 and 2
  8. no, not literally anyway.......only cyber keyboard wars.......much safer
  9. according to your 'theory' no more than anyone in the draft its all in the development $$$$$$$$$s circa 2012
  10. I think someone was suggesting a 'trade' made by 'mutual agreement' before f/s bidding but then 'executed' at normal trading time I don't think this is illegal, just contains a degree of mutual trust
  11. When will FA compo picks be able to be used - this year or next year?
  12. yes that scenario has been canvassed by a few posters it certainly appeals to the vengeance gene................but it won't happen
  13. with respect only to getting Jack as a second rounder we are held by our balls i.e. we are at a disadvantage our only chance of pulling it off is to negotiate with GWS/GCS (assuming we finish 16th) It could be done but it would cost
  14. Yeah it probably is done separately by each player, makes sense. And according to afl site in reverse ladder position
  15. Billy, it's us who are held by the balls. We've already shown our hand. No risk for GWS and GCS We'd be better off going into the meeting and saying "Don't bother bidding folks 'cos we're taking him with our first round pick" That way GWS don't get any satisfaction or kudos
  16. Christianity - with that beard he reminds me of some prophet, just can't think who
  17. effectively no change Clark injured Tappy was Substitute anyway, not in starting 21
  18. go on ht say it.......the w........ s......... - sh!t I can't say it either
  19. Hey rpfc got a sauce on the double bidding scenario you outlined
  20. That's silly. Did Carlton and West Coast and Collingwood not force him to deny tanking? Were they any more subtle? Or are you suggesting that Vlad didn't realise tanking was going on until we came along? The whole argument that we somehow 'embarrassed' vlad is just ludicrous btw i'm not trying to justify tanking but I can't see how vlad could hold a grudge over us and not the others and on a slightly different tack how could vlad defend the f/s bidding process if Jack is ranked outside the top 5 or even the top 10 and we are forced to use a pick 3 (under his rules) Edit: Jack for Tom....get T$ on the brain when thinking gws
