  1. i've maintained this for 50 years in fact i seem to remember it may have been his way when i was a kid (or maybe i imagined it) it's definitely a double penalty (in fact a 100m penalty)
  2. the lynch one was a good opportunity to make a statement especially as the impact was directly a richmond goal the game was only decided by 2 goals and if a free was paid it would have been around the centre line where the ball was. could have easily been a 2 goal turnaround
  3. i hate wind games......hope the forecast is wrong
  4. sounds like something a pre game injection should fix if necessary
  5. Interesting stat - our bottom 5 disposal players (tmac, sparrow, weid, spargo, kozzie) each only got 8 or less disposals but all forwards, all kicked goals for a combined total of 8 goals being 50% of all our goals and 2 more than the whole filth team not bad for bottom 5
  6. why not just rename "Jones at the Crossroads"
  7. yeah, it's a bit late in the season to start forward experiments, especially as the forward line lately )and finally) is playing much better and gelling well structurally
  8. or swap for a young promising winger who runs like the wind
  9. i don't think harmsey is having as bad a trot as some say, but any reasonable assessment would be that he is down on his usual form. I wouldn't be dropping him though
  10. 17 out of 46 = 37% 37% of 35 = 13 players 35 - 13 = 22 players..................no probs but seriously, a club would be able to add vfl players (or others) temporarily to their list when they dropped to a certain point
  11. oh really....i'm calling bs

not only that but newnes wasn't the correct player to take kick. should've been hibberd
  14. well whatever his reasons, his commentary was ruining my enjoyment of the game and giving me the chits, so i turned off the sound after half time.

yep good game just sometimes he puts a little too much mayo on his kicking, need to cut that out as a backman and take the easier kick option agree about the stops
  16. listening to lyon, if i didn't know better, you'd think he was a filth supporter we are thrashing the filth and he still focuses on our errors ......hehas a bad case of mfcss
  17. gaddy lyon is so negative.....and dead boring
  18. decent rain band coming in from west....hit brissy in about 1/2 hour
  19. radar shows there has been quite a bit of rain in southern qld. wind has now changed to westerly which luckily is pushing most rain w to e just north of brisbane one small band left which should pass brissy in next 30-40 mins with just the tail of it giving maybe a light shower after that should be fine and ground should dry quick with temps still in low 20's, wind light dcweather(c)
  20. you wouldn't play harley at this stage in a wet rainy physical game
  21. rain forecast, don't think it will be a marking day (luckily for preussy)
  22. shouldn't need too much tank to keep up with grundy. grundy has already showed signs of tiring and is coming off a 4 day break preuss needs to hit him hard at ball ups and not give him any repite. i suspect grundy will limit his range, probably to mainly between the arcs having said that, grundy will probably play a blinder just because it's us

i'll stick my neck out and say the swans have this won
  24. on top of that preuss has always struggled to play out 4 qtrs even when fit (though shorter game would suit him)
  25. yep, his kicking is too much up and under. i'm sure that could be coached out, but at least he doesn't shank the ball too often.
