I would hope the club would pay him nowhere near $750,000. Offer him $100,000 a year more than the Pies with some incentives. Give him the term he wants upto 4 years. I would presume with our coaching staff they know whether he can play or not. i'm not totally sold on him and wonder if he could step up in our 4th world midfield. I'll leave that to the coaches and recruiters. I do know that I'd like the club to recruit some 23 -24 year old players this year.

Comparing Watts and Dunn is like comparing apples and oranges. One was a number 1 pick with all the size and ability to be a game changer the other is a limited player eking out a career. If Watts doesn't step up this year then we've effectively blown 2 number 1 picks. The fact we have Viney and picks 3 and 4 means we have a chance to make amends. We also need to recruit a solid mature body who has more upside than Magner. The club is squarely at the crossroads and a poor drafting period and more of the same next year will see membership levels decline and either FD cutbacks or a slip back into debt. Choose wisely and we could see a quick and decisive turnaround.

I moved out of the city at the start of the year and after being unable to attend the first month I then ended up only going to one game for the year. It's the lowest tally of my life as a Demon. I've got two small kids and I just can't watch the shite we served up the last 2 years. I'd prefer to watch the professionals play. If we draft poorly this year and play similar football next year I'll probably go to zero games. If this group of players and coaches plus some quality pick ups over the next few years can't take this club to seriously competing for a Premiership and we slide back into the doldrums I'll probably hang up my hat. Sydney have proved that a well run club doesn't need to finish last before climbing again. I've got much better things to do than watch the club get spanked in an empty stadium on a cold winters day.

If Watts doesn't come back 6-7 kg heavier with improved endurance then I give up. He needs to lift his intensity and become the forward we were promised Just do it

I'm a fan of Jetta's. Not really sure why yet. just think he's shown glimpses of being able to play a role for the team. Let's hope for 2 years of injury free football so he can prove me right or wrong

For the first time in years I'm actually excited about the direction the club is taking. Cutting spuds and seeing the backs of average veterans makes me happy. I just hope they keep on chopping as some of the deadwood is starting to get covered in ivy. Guys like Cook, Gysberts, Morton, Moloney, Bate, Bennell, Davey are just not good enough to play key roles in our future team. Neeld has my support as a tough and uncompromising coach. Something this club has needed for a long long time. As a player you need to be willing to extract 100% from yourself for the benefit of your teammates first, your club second and yourself third. Yet another wasted high pick. That's Scully, Cook, Gysberts, Maric to go with Morton, Bate and Dunn I'd hate to see a list of players who were picked after this bunch of spuds
