8 Reasons to Get Excited
When in control you always look faster. When you notice real speed are individuals breaking out of packs and accelerating away. Though more places dont run with it but handpass/kick to advantage to get the break.

Pert's Plan to Make the Dees an AFL Power
I remember a debate many years ago. What is more important, the money that we pay as a membership or the marketing list a members to sponsors. I think if you have a MCC membership you should get a MFC membership at no extra cost, but no benefits. The list of x thousand more members is far more valuable than the current payment amount. We don't rely on membership directly to run the club if you look at our overall turnover. But more members allows us to get better sponsorship deals etc which creates higher revenue. It will also push us up the membership tally and get us more exposure and bigger games.

Best of 3 Grand Final
The Eagles CEO likes the idea. https://thewest.com.au/sport/west-coast-eagles/best-of-three-afl-grand-final-series-worth-looking-at-says-west-coast-eagles-football-manager-craig-vozzo-ng-b881024500z It appears to have been first raised by Pyke after the Crows loss. Maybe if they played better on the day he wouldn't have had a whinge.

Best of 3 Grand Final
Only less physical sports have "play offs" as the player can recover. Football codes, like ours, rugby and grid iron you can't back up a GF intensity over the multiple weeks and have a good quality game to watch. Beside if you know your going to loose the first one, imagine the losing side going in preservation mode and benching their best players for the following week as a spectacle.

2019 Fixture
It think it was just the timing of ANZAC eve and the decision of Pies to no longer help us out. The flip is 2020 both will be home games. Plus we do play them as a home later in the year.

Vale Colin Sylvia
VIP Sylvia A big kid at heart. Very sad for it to end so early for him and his family.

AFLX squad
We won the first one, thats all that matters, no one will remember who wins the rest. Cause we'll be the quiz night questions answer "winner "Melbourne" I think it was important last year to build confidence. It also helped us in practise some precise kicking and the run to break zones towards the forward line. The format is not that taxing on the players compared to a traditional preseason game. The downside is you can't use them to refine your game style is the real thing.

Tom Sheridan
As a DFA I think he worth picking up. Not sure why Freo no longer wanted him, considering who they gave 1 yr contracts too. Handy depth player but could surprise us in a settled role.

Innocent
Gee, why did he wear our hat.

2019 Fixture
Play the dockers in Perth (instead of WC) I think that will be a given given Hogan trade. They are a waste of time at the G in terms of crowd. Like Rd Pies or geelong - become a regualr QB/ANZAC know our block busters. A few more Friday night games against, Don's, Carlton (For fun), or anyone with a big following.

Recruiting a 3rd tall forward to find another 50 goals?
with good consistent delivery into the forward line we'll kick enough goals. We have Tmac and Weed to break packs and compete when required.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Not sure if it’s been said but Freo haven’t shown up at Marvel stadium yet! Bunch of tools.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
That would be grand to be honest.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
The basically sums it up. From the AFL website wrap for today "That's why the Dockers have been circling him for so long. And that's why it would be disastrous if they let him go when he's finally gettable just because they want a 'win' rather than a 'win-win'. "

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Given the circumstances that may happen. how did the Hawks swing it?

Would we take $cully back?
It is being floated and he would give us great outside run, which we currently miss. The question is has his speed and endurance been affected by his broken ankle? Yes he has a lot of history at the club. But we are a totally different club from the one he left. I imagine any discussion would be with the leadership group on whether they agree if the FD decides he is key to get it maybe happen.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
I wonder if we have said to GC, "What can we arrange for May without the Hogan deal". They might be working on a package as a backup, who knows, It depends on what May has told GC. Might be a few players we feel we can swap and still improve our list. Not that I think too many our player want to go North.

Farewell Dean Kent
Good luck to Kent. Deal is about right, he has a body made of paper. Breaks down too often for a higher pick.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
This is a spot on comment by one of their own members: "Fremantle during trade week remind me of that fat kid at school who used to go around trying to shaft everyone in basketball card trading deals." Classic. I do remember they tried to get their current forward and then wouldn't part with the picks and screwed him for a year. Why would like you to go a club like that.
-
Aaron vandenBerg not going - signs a new deal!!!
Great news. Hopefully he can finally get a good run at it after his injuries. Love his style of play, but he did get pinged a bit when he returned. Hopefully getting fit over the summer he'll break more tackles.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Why would'nt you. But the reality its Freo and given their history it not a place you would rush to play footy.
