Some horrible kicking giving the Giants an advantage for rebounds. Don't get me started on the 2nd qtr set shots for goals.

I'll go again, "Darkhorse". though hopefully far better than last year as it was a shocker.

I just remember years back the mummy boy Anthony Rocca, he turned out okay as a footy player. He's home in Melbourne so hopefully those issues are behind him. He was good for my dream team for the 2 games he played last year, he has talent.

I remember a comment from when they were deciding to select our next captain between the Oz and Nietz. We know nit got the honour. The comment later was they would follow Nietz (Which they did) but they would die for the Ox on the field. I wonder what that would have done for our culture and how we played in that period?

All business need luck or "fluke" to in the right place at the right time, and this does happen to many people, but the success comes from the hard work to build that opportunity into wealth.

Cowan didn't do very well at Free, maybe she wasn't the gun coach once she had real football cubs developing teams? One more game we would have played in the finals, just a crap rd1 game put us behind the 8 ball, rest of the season was continual improvement.

There is always luck in a premiership...but great sides make their own.

Ilvoe Jack of a clubman and his talent, but he hasn't shown he commitment required of him according to the club. We need players with strong work ethic to go with their talent. I will be interesting what happens with him. Ideally his finally realised how much he needs to commit and knuckles down (Like Dusty), but i doubt it. So he'll be gone.

Pointless article as if was fit that preseason and everyone since his journey at our club may also have been far better? or he may have been passed by the current first choice players such as Conca has been done at the tigers.

As a young up coming player thats great. But as a 25/26 yr old after being drafted as a teenager its not good for your career.

If you look at our successful games this year the intensity the tigers played, we also also played in our best matches. We just need to sustain it for 4 qtrs and the majority of the season. The tigers success is easier draw, lots of luck and right place right opponents in the finals that didn't do their homework on the tiger game plan. Crows did it for a qtr then stopped for some reason? Hopefully we have lots of luck next year...

But still a premiership side....

Generally any established player that wins your reserves B&F is normally delisted. Simply they are starring in the reserves but not getting a game in the 1st's. Which was Jack's situation. But congratulations to Jack on the parting award.

Read a great article once how very good assistants are often overlooked because they are not at a "Successful" club. Perfect example the pies last period with Malthosue, everyone though just because they were winning then the assistants must be great. They weren't as it turned out for everyone who picked up a Ex-Pie. I imagine recruitment of assistants is a lot more sophisticated than it used too be. We should focus on the skills we need irrespective on their current club ladder status.
