Barassi vs Dean
If your post is correct then 204 goals is a fair effort from the back pocket

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HARLEY BENNELL
Read @Redleg's post. #280 in this thread. FWIW I've read other sources who support what RL outlines. If his post is correct then yes, I would roll the dice & give him a 2 year contract

Farewell Sam Frost
Your hand-wringing over Frost has me stumped Rono. For years you have (rightly) been preaching the value of multi dimensional talls. Frost is as one dimensional is it gets

2019 Player Reviews: #29 Jayden Hunt
I thought he was the best of our experiments as a non key forward. I'd like to see it continue and have him specifically trained & coached in that role over the pre-season. We may have only scratched the surface of what he has to offer there

AFL Players Without Contracts
Turn it up. You get around on a scooter. Unless it's a race down a steep hill, I'm backing Henderson Hope your brakes are in good nick !

AFL Players Without Contracts
Harley Bennell for sure. Get him. Risk & reward option. Safe option, if the Cats don't re-sign him would be Lachie Henderson. Gives us key position coverage at both ends

What to do with what is now Pick 74?
Sounds good to me Lucas. Can you put up your highlights tape so we can get an early start on hanging [censored] on you ?

Splitting Draft Pick 3
I believe that was offered & knocked back yesterday

Jack Martin
Doubt that's a concern. At this stage of their respective careers, Tomlinson has Martin well covered. At 25 he is still "a kid with potential". Looks great at times but what has he really delivered ?

Jack Martin
According to the contracts post by Lucifer's Hero, Harmes. Petracca & Viney are the only big ticket items we have to tick next year. Still reckon Martin gets to Carlton. They can horse trade some picks to satisfy GCS who will promptly delist him. If he wants north of $700K a year, Carlton are welcome to him. Let him chew up their cap. Because if most of their high draft picks & young "stars" progress, the old Bluebaggers are headed for a cap crunch of GWS proportions. Can't keep 'em on minimum chips forever !

Splitting Draft Pick 3
I think we'll take 3 & 8 to the draft. GWS don't have the currency for a deal that's enticing enough without offering a player. That ship has sailed. Would expect Sydney to bid on Green with 5. Give him a couple of years apprenticed to Joey Kennedy before replacing him

How do you rate our trade period?
Not sure that Tim Kelly = peanuts

Farewell Sam Frost
Simply put, in Frost we've lost a player in an area of the ground where we have some coverage - Hore, Petty and yes, McDonald. Even Hunt if you want a runner off half back We've picked up a player in Langdon who plays in an area of the ground where we've been hopelessly deficient On balance, that works for me I like Frosty but I recognise his shortcomings. While he's whole hearted & has some good attributes, it ain't like we've just given up a Glen Jakovich for minimum chips

Farewell Sam Frost
Interesting. A relative of mine - Demon fan - met him out & about a few weeks ago and was surprised at how readily he mouthed off about the club to a perfect stranger. More to this trade than meets the eye ?

Dan Butler
Injury was this year. Last year when his form dropped off I believe there were off field issues impacting - similar to his last year at Carlton. This year he was first picked in the praccie matches for the small forward role & he blew out a shoulder. In the season proper he was first picked again so obviously back in favour & was leading our goalkicking (small sample size) when be blew his shoulder again & ended his season. Unless we had a replacement lined up, I'd have kept him on for another year. Because aside from him, in the small forward department we have got nothing. Nothing !

Jamie Elliott
That didn't worry old mate Heretier. Not sure he had the last laugh as predicted though

Sam Murray
I think in this case a trade merely ensures that the player gets to his club of choice with as quickly & with as little fuss as possible. So Collingwood don't want him but will trade him where he wants for a 6th round draft pick that they won't use FWIW I'm not interested in Murray. We already have a player with blistering speed & questionable kicking skills in Jayden Hunt. Not sure that getting another one improves us. If we are gonna roll the dice on a risky selection with potential upside, I'm in the Harley Bennell camp.
