Most of mine have been mentioned. Bennett for long shots at goal. Alan Johnson was a fantastic kick. Schwartz was a superb field kick as well as a great set shot. I reckon Johnny Fidge had Ted covered. He could roost it miles but was also good at hitting up a target. Talented lad who underachieved for various reasons. Flash Davey had a great left peg and if big Neita was on, he could slot a goal from 60. Good field kick as well. And of course Robbie - either foot. Old mate Rhino Richards could give it a decent thump as well. Paul Goss didn't play many games for us but he's the last bloke I recall using a drop kick for a set shot at goal. The man on the mark was about 45 out. Forward flank, outer side to the city end goals. And to pinch a line from Tim Lane, he absolutely "bisected the major uprights"

Great, great find SWYL. i found that fascinating. Was cool seeing them "unmasked", just making music in the studio. Kinda fun to hear the mistakes too - your ears are so tuned to how the record sounds that anything out of whack really stands out. I've only dabbled with recording but it;s a bloody unforgiving & often laborious process. Cool seeing Ross Wilson's role as producer.

When Jackson came on board one of his first utterances was "you've got to fix the footy first". So he was in agreement with you SWYL. As an aside, were it not for a lack of multiple font sizes and references to "the Northern Stand", I'd swear you've had similar discussions with the same bloke - different name though

Tough assignment but intriguing B Stewart (Geel) Thompson (GCS) Rampe (Syd) HB Sicily (Haw) Talia (Adel) Whitfield (GWS) C B. Hill (StK) Neale (Bris) Macrae (WB) HF Fyfe (Freo) Reiwoldt (Rich) Higgins (Norf) FF Rozee (PA) Kennedy (WCE) De Goey (Coll) R Gawn (Melb) Cripps (Carl) Merrett (Ess) Struggled to find a range of options from Port, GCS and those goat-rooters from Essendon

Not just you Dazzler. There's a few I'd have let go long before Garlett. On his form before blowing his shoulder last year he'd have been handy while Kozzie prepares for AFL duties. I wish Jeffy well

Guitarist Stuart Fraser from Noiseworks passed as well. It's been been a crook week -
Naive mate. Have a look right across the league. Our blokes are far from the only ball butchers going round. Then have a look at the U18 champs. Making the draft pool doesn't equate to having elite skills. Anything the club can do to improve, even 1%, should be considered a positive rather than derided

Crystal Ball 2020: Your predictions for next season

Don't mind this. At the very least we've upgraded our KPF depth. On exposed form he's better than both T.Smith or Keilty (sorry Drunkn). He's good insurance. I like his attitude too - not satisfied with being depth but wanting to push up into the senior team. He fills a need, even if it's a "break glass in case of emergency" need - I'd much prefer him to a speculative Isaac Weetra, Rhys Healy or Daniel Hayes type

I think the first person to put messiah and Jackson in the same post is you mate. I haven't read anyone here suggesting Jackson is going to put the club on his back and lead us to the promised land. The post above from Watson11 is more typical With regard to the Buckenara article, in another thread experienced poster Prodee has highlighted examples of why Buckenara's analysis should be treated with caution - if not disdain I think this kid will be fun to watch old dee, sooner rather than later so strap yourself in and enjoy the ride

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - LUKE JACKSON
Go the Biff replied to Lord Nev's topic in Melbourne Demons
A bigger Bont ! I was in the Young / Kemp camp. I see Young developing into a Nick Haynes type & I'm a huge fan of Haynes. Something about Kemp to me suggests he'll be the type of player who changes games so he's the one I'm spewing we missed - especially now he's at Carlton. And I really wanted an athletic tall mid with breakaway speed who is also an aerial threat. Having said that I'm now firmly on the Jacko train (and the Kozzie caboose). We are overdue for another Jacko & we've done well with them in the past with both output & entertainment. Mark, Ricky & Allen all gave us plenty and Peter was an off-field star. I suspect had that latest highlights package of Jackson been more widely distributed earlier a lot of skeptics - myself included- would have been far more comfortable with using Pick 3 on him. What I love in that package is that he is a 360 degree mark. He takes them in front, leaping in from either side, over the top of packs, on the lead & standing in the goalsquare. And if we play him forward / mid. I might just have got my athletic tall mid with breakaway speed who is also an aerial threat after all. While you can't know what heights our two latest additions will eventually reach, I reckon they are both gonna be fun to watch. I predict a few user names on here will change -
Saints, Eagles & Packers. Don't recall them dropping 2 in a row too often

Probably should wait but what the hell. Not sure about the Power Rankings concept so you can call these Biff rankings. Would have been quite different had I done them before the weekend Ravens Saints Seahawks 49ers Pats Packers Vikings Chiefs Bills Cowboys Titans Texans

7. I thought we had more coaches, less top-half finishes and Geelong kicked about 999 points. The veil of negativity weighs heavy
