Can't say I loved it. Not a fan of giving opposition any extra motivation as insignificant as it may be to the final result
-
Probably not helpful Ed

Will be interesting to see. Make sense either him or Hunt , I guess. I think both offer something that harmes can't and we have enough of what harmes brings to the team. Having said that harmes has been a good contributor over a long period so I'll back in the selection committee

Does ready to go mean they are in the team ? Didn't catch the interview with Goody. I'd be happy with BBB in for weid and leave the rest of team as is. I think hunt is our best matchup for ginnivan.

That's a really good initiative from a sponsor, get on board people

Eddie Betts opens up on the weird camp
Bates Mate replied to John Crow Batty's topic in Melbourne Demons
Was the camp our players objected to run by the same jokers who ran the Adelaide one? I'm sure word got around to players at different clubs about what went down there. -

Says in Eddie's book that the "mind" training began in the middle of 2017. Included things like training their game face as they run through the banner and the stupid stance. So yes I'd think it had a part to play in him leaving at the end of that season. That club is still recovering. Imho Ricuttio has a lot to answer for. He might not have instigated it but he knew what went down and has used his platform as a director of footy at Adelaide FC, a mmm breakfast host and Fox footy commentator to play it down at every opportunity, as recently as this morning -

Id be really nervous about tMac coming back in to a hot finals game after that injury and long off.
-
I think big Stu might help touk get home, 2 very winnable games in the last 3 rounds and a home game against Geelong
-
He knew he was back up when he joined took a chance on playing finals instead of consistent AFL game time. Better than vfl standard but he is not breaking into this midfield barring injury
-
Chance to miss finals altogether now. That would be a old school MFC 2017 ,2020 like choke
-
Highly doubt it, they took the red eye last night. Would've landed early this morning
-
Yep brilliant defensive performance by us
-
Hunt needs to stay in, his dash gives something we have been missing

Melbourne & Mark Neeld: It Wasn’t All Bad
Bates Mate replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Can remember any positives, my lasting memory is that he had 2 desks in his office and talked alot about a reality bus. -

Duke of Wellington also good.

Love seeing stuff like this. Hopefully gives all the boys a massive boost and we take that into the rest of the season

I agree. He last played meaningful minutes in the mid in 2019/2020 and was pushed out by our current mid combinations and we won a premiership. In 2019/20 he was part of the see ball get ball bees to the honeypot that exposed us . I've no doubt he can play good minutes as a mid in the AFL but that's not his best position in our team.
-
Good to see Joel Smith available . He was good for us early this year. Still not sure his best position but is very versatile. At a minimum he is a better sub option than Bedford, thommo and others who have been sub this year
