CHANGES: Rd 19 vs Western Bulldogs
I'm mostly underwhelmed by Weid as well but he has shown he can at least create a contest at AFL level , and on occasions been better than serviceable. Jvr will get his chance next year. He has shown glimpses but hardly banging down the door will multiple bags and dominating at VFL. If we choose to go tall I'd prefer to go with a player who we know can compete at AFL and won't be a liability

Head high tackles
This is the issue now. Umpires have to second guess what they see. Kozzy from the umpires viewpoint was a clear head high tackle. From reply on the other angle you can see kozzy was part of the reason why it was high . Incorrect calls happen due to umpire's positioning all the time. Think about how many times you see a player blatantly throw the ball when you watching in the stands. But umpire calls play on as he can only see the back of the player and the ball being released due to the fact the player's facing the other way. End result play on. Point is umpire should only be expected to judge what he sees, not what he thinks is happening on an angle he can't see.

Just like a lot of demonlanders :-)

CHANGES: Rd 19 vs Western Bulldogs
Rivers deserves a run of games thought he was good today. Brayshaw effectively replaces bowey as a distributor who can intercept mark. Rivers offers playing tall/ small good dash and decent kick and can't get exploited like Bowey has been in a couple games this year. Bowser will be back but not sure if this year. Jordon doing great on the wing

I thought Jordon and Langdon worked their guts out all game on the wings. Both played great IMHO

He's lost his skills space jam style. Mongrel kicks and touched off the boot multiple times. May not much better

GAMEDAY: Rd 18 vs Port Adelaide
Our "pressure" forwards are costing us big time just running next to the contests . Coming out way too easy

GAMEDAY: Rd 18 vs Port Adelaide
Or Chandler or Laurie 2 disposals 1 tackle we are a man down

GAMEDAY: Rd 18 vs Port Adelaide
And zero creativity. We look scared to take the game on

Yep I agree. Our defensive zone is making us lazy. We are guarding space not players and port can chip it around as easy as they like

NON-MFC: Round 18, 2022
Can't teach presence and swag. Unfortunately Weid won't ever have it

NON-MFC: Round 18, 2022
Depends on how you think the Dee's will finish the season. If your thinking we will end well the blues as we can reclaim top spot. If your thinking we will finish bad the cats as Blues will be fighting for our top four spot. I'll just sit back and watch wishing we had at least 1 of these big forwards

TEAMS: Rd 18 vs Port Adelaide
Not sure about players but I assume it's the same as coaches who have to upload a photo of a rat test to an app twice a week.

Petty stepped in and took his spot. Petty is a better player case closed

CHANGES: Rd 18 vs Port Adelaide
Hunt hasn't really been a spark of halfback for a couple of years. They seem to prefer using him to lockdown the opposition's quickest forward which he has done mostly a good job at when required. I think they prefer to have the ball in boweys and Salem's hands due to more reliable kicks. Issue is neither have been that great lately at being attacking with their kicks and we are paying for it with very slow, safe ball movement into our attacking half

Strange gameplan having two talls flying for the same ball spoiling each other

POSTGAME: Rd 17 vs Geelong
Scott is right. We are so predicable and goody is very staunch on is playing consistently the same way. It has it's pros and cons .I always think back to the GF and how the mids where instructed to shut it down with a couple minutes to go in the 3rd and clarry and trac said F it and went for it . The rest is history. Point is predictable and methodical is often a good way to play but sometimes you have to just go for it and we haven't done it enough this year which has hurt us

CHANGES: Rd 18 vs Port Adelaide
Biggest thing that he needs to work on with our coaches and b.brown is positioning and leading patterns. Everytime he has played as second tall him and brown are competing for the same ball in the air and getting in each other's way. Tmac and brown don't have this problem

6 is a struggle,I don't think we had many winners in the night. Petty. Um..

Agree on bowey been down for over a month. Rivers or Hunt can play taller and handle smalls. Disagree on Chandler had a great game against VFL players not AFL listed players playing VFL and only one game. Bedford has shown more at AFL level , although after tonight's performances I'd be happy to drop either Bedford or Spargo who were awful

Out played all night, we were playing at 65%, geelong 95%. Pretty much had every player playing below par and still had a sniff. I'd back us in a rematch at the G or Marvel.
