  1. Wake up. Considering the sh-t posted on some other threads, to which you are a noted contributor, discussing the price of bananas has far more football relevance than the lot of them combined.
  2. It would be easier for you to just say you read something on BF that said...................... Then pose the question, "does anyone think that is a chance of happening"? That should save the angst.
  3. As the Eurogliders sang: Oooooh! Ooh I want to find a better place Oooooh! Ooh I'm searching for a better place Oooooh! Ooh I'm tired of living in the sand Oooooh! Ooh I'm searching for a better land Heaven, must be there-ere Well, it's just got to be there-ere Sorry about this, I must have too much time on my hands.
  4. As Boney M sang: One way ticket, one way ticket One way ticket, one way ticket One way ticket, one way ticket to the blues. Choo choo train Tuckin' down the track Gotta travel on it Never comin' back Ooh, ooh got a one way ticket to the blues.
  5. Hold your fire on that anger against GWS. It may lessen or increase after the trading period and father /son selections have been concluded. They could do a nice deal with us or shaft us.
  6. Richmond are setting up a GWS player at the end of next year to come home.
  7. Well lets see. Do you know these players, Thomas, Sidebottom, Wellingham? Answer: they are the three Pies mids who didn't get AA this year and every one of them would walk into our midfield. Now lets add those other three Pendles, Swan and Beams. Oh yes the Viney, Caddy combo would strike fear in the hearts of opposition.
  8. Can't wait until we get the GF out of the way, so we can get onto the real football, trading and drafting.
  9. I can't see any way you could have Nic Nat ahead of Jacobs or Maric. They rucked 80% of their games and Nic Nat 50% at best. They were so far above him this year, as to make his AA selection laughable. While we are at it, how funny would it be if Mitchell wins the Brownlow after not making the AA team?
  10. I tend to agree with Akum, Jamar really gives us nothing. Averaged 12 games a year. Now can't run, kick or tackle. His marking is now not great. Misses goals from close in regularly when he does grab one. His only talent is the tap and lately he just hits it anywhere.Often just taps it straight down at his feet and we get another ball up. He is 29 and I think we would get a better deal from him than Martin and Martin has more strings to his bow. However Martin has also missed a lot of games but is 3 years younger. He was fantastic as our lone ruckman when Jamar and Spencer were injured. This is a difficult one, but clearly Jamar won't be there a long time and maybe he is the one to go. I suppose we see what is offered.
  11. He is actually 25 turning 26 in November.
  12. Just saw some highlights of the club B & F and noticed Gerard Healy up the front. Can't recall seeing him at a club function over the last few years. Wonder if anyone discussed the pursuit of Tanking against us on his show.
  13. 132 rumours and 187 pieces of speculation. Well that is what I heard and what I think could happen.
  14. I believe the Incas predicted a big year for the MFC in 2013. Confucious went for us in 2014.
  15. That is why I would be tempted to try and do a deal to get both picks. If we gave pick 4 and a player or two with one being a ruckman, that could get the deal done. Lets say we could steer Martin or Spencer to GWS and say Petterd or Bate or both. GWS need some hard bodies and most importantly need a ruckman even more so if Giles walks. If this sort of deal eventuated, we would have to be patient, as we would have two potential guns coming in a year to add to that year's first round pick. We could still get Toumpas or Grundy at 3, someone good at 13 and JV later. Pick 13 and a player could still be used to deal with GC for some of their mids. We also have salary cap room to target FA's. We would be in a strong position to really change the list.
  16. You don't need to break rules. Each club just does what is in its best interests and the result takes care of itself. For example if you are GC wanting Tippett and you know they would want pick 2 to use on a local, you don't stuff around nominating a player who you don't really want. If you are GWS, you don't ruin the chance to get the highest pick possible for an U17 pick. Result, no rules broken and everyone gets who they want, where they want. AFL happy as GWS gets best draft picks and GC get great forward.
  17. So what's changed since he signed a new 3 year deal in July? Only one more month of rumours left, to have fun with.
  18. Would have thought pick 4 at worst, as only one live club with a pick better and if it goes to Crows for Tippett, as I have said a few times, they will take Toumpas or Grundy. We are therefore in the box seat to deal with GWS if we want an U17 player and that will guarantee them not naming JV as a bonus.
  19. Travel is a huge disadvantage. Wonder how the Eagles will go tonight. At least for them they played at home last week. In a way it would be good for them to win as we could see the end of the Cloke situation and hopefully war break out between Pies and Blues.
