  1. Do you mean " depositions"?

It's about not mentioning a Dees' traitor, who was our pick number 1 in that year's draft and any other matter that is not absolutely accurately proved beyond all doubt and otherwise discussing every other topic that has been, is now or will be in the future.
  3. Why are we dismembering Gerry Humphries?
  4. Debutant for us.
  5. Just love that video.
  6. The only footy thing better than that, would be he also wins the Norm Smith, in a Dees Premiership this year, which starts off a threepeat. Oh stuff it, make that a sixpeat.
  7. Have had opposition supporters saying they have inside info he won’t play all year. I have been replying all summer without any inside info, that he will play first round if his fitness is ok and Medical people have no issue. Hopefully he plays and has a great season and sticks it up the whole AFL media and opposition.
  8. IMO it’s worse than SPP who got 4, but King suggesting 10 is over the top and I think it will land at 6. Late, left the ground, hip and arm into the head, totally unnecessary and if he wanted to bump, could have done so into his side and shoulder, still possibly illegal, but far less so. Hope none of our players do anything similar. PS: Given the current climate he could get a bit more. This could be the message penalty.
  9. It’s actually a replica of the Cripps hit which concussed his victim and put him out of the finals. Cripps’ penalty, a Brownlow.
  10. Jacko was tough. I used to watch Dees' games with Cameron Clayton's dad while Clayton was a Dee. Cameron was seriously tough. Stewart Gull was another who was tough. He was a boxer. One practice game at Prahran he hit his eye on the point post and split it open. I watched him get it sewn up in the rooms and he was just happily lying there, blood everywhere, while I was struggling not to faint.
  11. He still frightens me, You know what I meant, when he was playing. You could substitute Ditterich, Biffen, Durnan, Cameron Clayton, Byron Pickett and a few others in their playing days. He did it because he knew he would get away with an on the edge, hard hit, early in the game.

No mould yet and been a few days.
  13. Most likely would be Jnr Dog or AMW to debut, as the other 2 are injured or not match fit.

I got told off for my habit of being a little sarcastic and nasty when talking to my friends and now as a result I have changed to a full time, saccharine sweet guy, giving off continual compliments to them and it is driving them crazy.

I know you need a break between debauches, you can use that to post.

I think David would know a lot about culture. Played with Travis Johnson and Daniel Ward and all three went broke as self confessed gambling addicts. Plenty of others were seen regularly at racetracks and TAB’s. Thankfully all three sought help and have turned their lives around. Yes we have had a poor pre season in the media, but aside from Smith, nothing to do with culture and clearly agenda driven, unless you think a boy’s personal mental health issues are a club culture problem. I am disgusted at the media treatment of Clarry and several media people should be ashamed of themselves. Michael Warner you are at the head of that queue. How much have we heard about Carlton’s new recruit Elijah Hollands and his Court drug appearance? How much did we hear about Bailey Smith after an initial mention? Same for Ginnivan. There are plenty of other examples of bad behaviour in the AFL that gets little mention after the first airing if at all. Certain clubs are treated differently by the media, why. Yes we have our share of problems, but we are not pariahs, yet treated like one in the media. There is an obvious agenda out there in footy media land and probably more one.

Might ring Michael Warner for a few names, as being an expert in tearing things down, he should know a few people who can rebuild.

I will send the builders in to fix up all the houses being trained down.

Quiet weekend coming up for true footy fans, Dees not playing.
  20. I believe if your namesake was playing in the QF last year, Gus would still be playing and we would have been into the Prelim Final and possibly winning the flag. Maynard would never have done that if Rodney was out there.

He needs to get some aggression. He is far too timid in his approach to the contest. While a good kick, he will only mark it, if it is delivered lace out in front of him and we are not renowned for such good delivery. Maybe with Salem and Billings better delivery he can be more productive.

    Another Beatles fan.

I think that is now designated "mid year round", or "not round 12 yet round". There is also a suggestion to rename it "the one after round 10 round". I believe one of the AFL Commission want it named "the round before I go on my holidays round". PS: I await the inevitable multiple further suggestions.
  24. Agree Slarti. There is more to this than just his football performance and those that know best will decide if he plays. Those that would appear to know best have said/implied that multiple times. On pure footy he would appear right, on his other issues I wouldn't have a clue.
  25. Not according to AFL. He is now 204 cms and is taller than his twin Ben who is 202 cms. No way he is only 1 cm taller than 199 cm Verall.
