  1. I still think Eddie's behaviour in the restaurant after Maynard got off was disgusting. Would love the opportunity to remind him, that he cheered for a bloke getting off at the tribunal, for ending another bloke's footy career and permanently injuring him. He makes it very hard for me to watch Footy Classified on a Wednesday night, when he hosts, as he inserts the Pies into every topic. It is simply pathetic. We are not even allowed to change Presidents at Board Level, without being constantly hounded to death by a particular journalist.
  2. You should have seen the abuse and anger I copped from a mature, otherwise very sensible Pies fan, when we were discussing the incident. I said after Maynard got off, that the AFL will 100% outlaw that the next year and he then continued with the abuse and anger.
  3. We know how often people play their best games against us. Just recently Cam Rayner was the perfect example. I expect Hawkins to break his goal drought against us.
  4. Hope he has a lot of sons.
  5. But that choice was probably dictated by senior opportunities. I suspect if he knew Brayshaw was retiring he would have stayed. He has played every game for the Swans so far this year. Bedford was probably the same, left for senior opportunities. Has played every game for the Giants this year.
  6. This will be a great test for us against the undefeated Cats at full strength, minus only Danger. We still have a few guys to come back. Arguably whatever the result, we might have more room for improvement, as far as playing personnel is concerned.
  7. Maybe the term “ no good” could be changed to “ not good enough for AFL”.
  8. Understand, but it doesn’t explain why he can’t be placed on LTI list and paid out as it is his last contract year. We are probably not playing him again, even if he was available. I assume that the club is happy to have the delisting at the end of the season and is simply not desperate to use the spot now for the mid season draft. We do have one pick for Gus spot and maybe that is all they want at this stage. Then again there is no guarantee we will even use that pick.
  9. It would.
  10. Not sure the umpires are chariot biased.
  11. Appears that way.
  12. The soft frees given to some players like Curnow, Rowell today and others annoys me, when Clarry and Tracc are held all game without any umpire reward. There is clear home team umpire reward for some clubs, with Adelaide the leading example, yet it doesn’t seem to apply at the G for us.
  13. Well stay tuned.
  14. As Smith’s case has still not been dealt with, which is a disgrace in itself given the scenario, I feel we should be able to put him on the LTI list or similar and agree to pay out this year his last and have another spot for the mid season draft, if we want to use it. It seems very unfair he can’t play, but has still not had his case dealt with.
  15. Just made a great comment. Said how good it was for Weightman to come off unassisted. Problem is he has probably dislocated his elbow again.
  16. Danger hammy.
  17. Then one of the WA teams would take him before us.
  18. Would have saved him 3 weeks suspension.
  19. Since the night Chicago died, or from when you were just hitching a ride?
  20. Redleg replied to tiers's topic in Melbourne Demons
Especially when you already have sore ribs before the jab.
  21. Are you a former member of Paper Lace.
  22. Agree with you, except that the umpiring was clearly one way, to the extent that the commentary team were laughing about it. Soft goals to Port and soft frees to stop any Saints' charge. I think the frees were 13-1 in 2nd half, before an out of bounds deliberate free was given to Saints, in the last 30 seconds. But despite that, if the Saints were any good, they should have run Port off their feet in the last quarter and they failed badly.
  23. IMO he is a forward, who while not a ruckman, can play there for short bursts. However, when played as a ruckman, he is quite good around the ground with his marking. I watched him closely against the VFL Tigers and several times he didn't even bother contesting when rucking. He appeared to shy away from body contact. His contested marking though was very good and he is mobile.
  24. 10-1 second half and another charity goal.
  25. Yes the Adelaide teams always get a bad run from the umpires. Ask any Port fan and they will tell you that every one of the 8 frees Saints have got was an incorrect decision.
