  1. Conversely some good ones also have bigger effects than others. I can think of three in my case. I chose my wife, my career and my football club and have loved all of them ever since. BTW the football club was chosen many years before the other two.
  2. I think you are right. We beat injuries, May, Viney and Clarry. We beat the 5 day break. We beat the fixture, both Adelaide teams in 5 days. We beat the crowds. We beat the umpires. We beat the AFL hope of an Adelaide win. It was a great win.
  3. As I said. Potential to injure is invoked. It is a meaningless phrase, used when needed by the AFL, to prove a case. You weren’t speeding driver, but you were driving a car and had the potential to speed and I am therefore charging you with speeding. It’s a nonsense. Did Pendles not hurt Neale, yet no potential to injure argument used to put him out. I don’t mind being dealt with for what you did, but not for what you actually didn’t. BTW, Soligo said today there was nothing in it. Just give Kozzie a week for what he did and don’t confuse it with bs about what he didn’t, but could have.
  4. I think he will get a week, but I notice some of the rules being discussed by posters and those rules allow it to be argued down to a fine. We will see what happens. The good thing is Soligo shrugged it off and continued to play well.
  5. No it wasnt. Meredith, Williamson and Fleer are very senior experienced umpires.
  6. Unfortunately no!
  7. Yes, but unlike where you actually knock out a bloke early in a final and end his career and get off, this light impact will see potential to injure invoked and he will cop a week. Kozzie is not a Pies player.
  8. Funny that, the only goal not repeated on the TV broadcast.
  9. The AFL prides itself on integrity and officiating games is probably one of, if not the most important aspect of that integrity. We all know everyone makes mistakes, but tonight wasn’t about mistakes, it was about blatant inconsistent officiating and I will be gracious and say it was probably caused by trying to appease a fanatical crowd. If that happens regularly, the game is in trouble. If you asked an ex umpire to review that performance, I am convinced he would mark it poorly. On the commentary, barracking for one side is just so pathetic. Well done boys, you overcame some big hurdles. Steven May, just WOW.
  10. I think fresh legs and from a first gamer would have added a bit more run at the end when we looked pretty tired.
  11. He is not a Pie, so gone. It didn't end a star's career. It didn't concuss. It didn't injure. It was light impact. It won't matter.
  12. Michelle from Destiny's Child.
  13. No it was explicable. Incompetent, simply umpiring to the crowd. The rules went out the window and it was purely appease the crowd. TBH that umpiring display was shameful. Gather round, home side winless and being talked up by everyone from the Premier and Dillon down and packed crowd of Crows fans. No surprises there.
  14. No force or impact or injury. He is not a Pies player and will get suspended.
  15. Think it was a Cats player.
  16. Crows made 5 changes I believe, after playing off a 6 day break. While their changes might be on form, with of course 2 being injured, they will clearly have fresher players and I hope it isn't a tight finish.
  17. The only fresh legs are on a bloke with 2 cracked ribs and a hurt vertebrae. Very strange given 5 day break, but I am not in the FD.
  18. And that's why we shouldn't play him.
  19. I can't believe it.
  20. Redleg replied to Dingo's topic in Melbourne Demons
    Did you play VFL Picket?
  21. I don’t see Tom going forward now he has slotted in down back, BUT that is obviously a possibility. I am just unsure who Goody has less faith in now, Tommo or Schache.
  22. I thought someone said he was in Adelaide training.
  23. Breust twice cost goals with selfishness. Lewis on his own in the goal square twice ignored. Lewis would be furious. Cats then banged on 4 quick ones.
