My post was in answer to Scahche being describe as only capable of uncontested possessions. I was posting that maybe one uncontested possession, which was more than Tom Mac was contributing, could have won us the game.
-
Tomlinson is available for a couple of years. Just played finals.
-
Well Goody could have brought him on in the last quarter, replacing Tom Mac, who was absolutely hopeless, with 1 possession in the 2nd half. Schache could have run the dizzy, concussed Weitering around and ended up with an uncontested possession, which could have put us in a PF.

Pretty busy trade day, hard to keep up with all today's trade news. Might have been better advised, to have just slurped on a cola and rum slushee.
-
Well he has played OK at Casey this year.
-
The Southern Neerim Road side and Western Kambrook Road side, where the stables were located, provide ample room for massive facilities. The inner car park area provides room for 2 ovals plus.
-
Pies Vice Captain goes for 33. AA and dual B & F Grundy for 46 and F2. Cats want better than 24 for a guy they don't select in their side. Gotta love them, coming from Dodoro college.
-
Because we feel that we need 11 for future use and some club like Adelaide, wanted it too.
-
It is very possible we finalise McAdam and Fullarton for later picks and do nothing else this trade period. I suspect we won't know about any pick upgrade swaps for a while, as there is no need for WC or North to swap now, as it can be done as late as on draft night, just before the pick being chased is used.
-
Why are we giving such a high pick, can't we get Walsh thrown in?
-
McAdam and Fullarton say hi. But seriously, we now don’t need to take not best 23 players and on that basis, maybe haven’t really gone hard for anyone.
-
That very well could be the case.
-
TBH it’s not anything other than the the thoughts of a few of us, that it could make sense to both clubs and is a possible deal, not a probable one.
-
Actually GWS don't need to get rid of him, as they have said, but imo would be very happy to.
-
He is more than free, if he gets us 7 for a GWS salary dump. If we got him, I could see us floating Tomlinson to North, who have lost McKay.
-
Might have 7 soon, who knows.
-
What if it is the player described by many experienced recruiters, as the most talented young player they have ever seen? Then another draftee and then f/s Brown and McAdam and Fullarton.

The 2023 Draft and Trade Targets Thread
Redleg replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Hello Nick Haynes, do you like the G and red and blue? If you do, bring pick 7 down with you. -
I like the suggestion from a poster that we parade Max in a moon boot in a photo. Then come out and say if other clubs want to discuss Brody we will listen. Cats have 7, need a ruckman and spoke to Brody. We could have a go at that with a pick swap. Still think both sides know what the deal is and this could be posturing for the fans.

The 2023 Draft and Trade Targets Thread
Redleg replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
To get both sounds like a great result, though unlikely. We could then go outside mids later this draft and next year. -
Btw, Nudge did say on 22/9/23 we were out of the race for 4, a couple of weeks before it came true and Dogs got it. So well done Nudge.

I did say often, not always. I seem to recall most were disappointed on DL when the LJ trade went through, with the result. We are lucky that Freo bombed this year, as it could have been 15 not 6, for example. I think there has been an acknowledgment on DL generally, that we are just happy to get deals done, trying to have both sides happy, win/win. I am not knocking this, but simply stating the fact. We know how the Bells and Dodoros operate on the other hand, but they also seem to get their deals done too. I understand that a slightly better pick might not guarantee a better end result I was just making the point on the difference in method.

Anyone familiar with the Weis bar? They are now half the size.
-
I like that idea.
-
Yes we did, but that doesn't mean you get back what you paid. Swans are desperate for Grundy as their number 1 ruckman, we got him as number 2. Anyway, let's see how good we can be at holding out. However, tbh, whilst we have been good at drafting, we often seem to over pay overs on our buys and get unders on our sales.
