Sestan, Adams and Howes all look ok, Kentfield a couple of saves but the rest, oh dear.

Now Culley from 20 misses. Meanwhile the Sharks go down the other end and goal again and again and again. 5-3 to 8 behinds, shameful football. Jeffo finishes the quarter with an out on the full.

4-15 it is beyond pathetic. This year Billing 1-5, Woey 0-4, Culley 0-3 and someone I forgot 0-4. Seriously these are still senior footballers. Not even talking about the missed handballs and kicks. 18 AFL listed players playing for us at our ground. Lever turns it over and then Jeffo misses from 15 out.
  4. And if we have it's not working. More of our younger players have gone backwards than improved. Why is that?
  5. That can be ok if we have others that are.
  6. Agree that style is moronic and deflating to a young player. How hard is it to tell player to lead into space and for the guys with the ball to kick it towards him and let him run onto it.

Farms and Cotton Shares would be a great start, but of course they are outside the cap.
  8. I think that is possibly true and he may want to leave. We need to assess our development of younger players.

He was the best Junior I had seen, but that was playing against other boys his age. He has played some great footy in his first year in the AFL, but now seems to be just a player and I am unsure if he is treading water until he changes clubs. He seems to have some issues and can be put off his game easily, but again is he simply not trying as he is unhappy. I think he could be a bust at $2m a year with all the pressure or he could get back to his best, who knows. I don’t see us getting him anyway, so will watch from afar. We need a bit more than just one Harley Reid and hopefully we can add some more talent and improve our development of younger players which I think has regressed. It would be helpful if we could add some mentally strong players who don’t panic when kicking for goal.

Harley wants to be a farmer, or own part of Cotton On, or both?

And probably McInerney. Walsh kicks after the siren has gone and runs off the line and no worries.
  12. These are the elite footballers in the country. It is their job. They practice and train for 10 months a year. There should be no excuses. An occasional miss ok, but not the [censored] we are seeing regularly.
  13. He has said it and never denies it. That is not the issue with him.
  14. Sestan was drafted as a forward and yes has been playing back for Casey. I would imagine he could match Fritsch with 4 possessions and missing two sitters with his boy 2 kicks last week.
  15. I am not sure what Fritta can do less, than his miserable latest games, to get dropped. Simon does have favorites, no doubt. I would have played Sestan for Fritta. Sestan needs a chance and Fritta needs a message.

Well this should absolutely get me a job in the media. Here are my scoops. Jackson will come back to the Demons or he won’t. Kozzie will stay with the Demons or he won’t. Oliver will go or stay. Goodwin will be sacked soon or he won’t be.
  17. Ok, Hunt went for 52 a third rounder and I thought about same for Woey, but agree we may get nothing.

I am sure we would help mum find work and accommodation in Melbourne if Kalani joined us and she wanted to be here with him.
  19. It won't go past the No T$ no BS thread though, which has been going since 2011, nowhere near it.
  20. That is probably correct, as many in the AFL are calling Kozzie a superstar, which is not the same description for Jacko. Long term however I see Jacko as a bigger need for us, as his type is much harder to find and I see him having a longer AFL career than Kozzie.

Get him in red and blue, a couple of pre seasons and 10 kgs of muscle added and we might have a good player. He also has a couple of younger brothers I believe and we know that the younger brothers are often the better players.
  22. I agree, but if he was traded to the Eagles, like Hunt, I think he would be just about a regular best 22 atm. He therefore is worth something at least, which can be part of a trade involving several moving parts.
  23. Agree with you, but I think that Jacko is the bigger need and imo without of course any knowledge, have the feeling that barring injury, Jacko will be playing a lot longer than Kozzie. I think Jacko’s size and role will allow him to play longer than Kozzie, who will eventually lose some of his pace and magical ability. Anyway, if both boys want to change clubs, I am pretty sure it will happen.
  24. That is possibly/probably going to end up the case. He has family and friends at Freo and in the West and while he obviously loves the Dee’s the pull may be too much for him. I would start to look at what deals we can do and I would be getting in Treacy’s ear to find out if he would like to return home. We could add Woey to Kozzie for example and someone/something else to get deals done. This year could be a list changer for us.

I was on the Jeffo train, though not in first class like Pickett Fence, but I am worried it is pulling into the station to be replaced by a newer model. I think Jeffo has this season and if we are still undecided next season, to prove himself. Hopefully he can have that breakout game which starts him off. He does need to get more aggressive at the contest, that is a no brainer. He seems to have the other skills needed to make it. We will see.
