  1. Don't think he is big enough for Ruck and wouldn't want to kill him. He could be a talent for us.
  2. Interesting summary on possible penalty of EFC players the other day, by Grant Baker in the Hun. If he is correct, they could in fact serve no games, or just a few, if found guilty. I can imagine the outcry if he is correct, from WADA and other sports.
  3. Pus-y. Can't believe the word was censored.
  4. I knew the No T$ no BS thread would finally get a mention and a compliment.
  5. Happy to sit together as long as it is on ground floor.
  6. In front of my son, that would be damning. Do you want to meet though?
  7. Might sell a few friday night.
  8. Anyone going to the game friday? Happy to meet some of you, as I am going with my son.
  9. Apparently it is an old winery in Richmond near the Yarra.
  10. I am not a fan of Viney ATM especially in the modern style game.Yes he is hard as a brick wall, but he is also small, not quick, has ordinary disposal and can't kick far or even accurately. His handballs to the grass annoy me. He has many limitations I believe. That is not to say he can't be a valuable member of the team, but I just see players like Petracca, Brayshaw, Salem, Toumpas, Newton, Stretch, Neale Bullen, Vandenberg, Kent, JKH etc going past him.
  11. Do you wine experts know the closest winery to the CBD?
  12. Can't say Roos isn't making his mark on the team.
  13. I am happy for him to build his game and develop, rather than being seen as the big white hope. They have always let us down when we expect too much. The kid can play and we will see it soon enough.
  14. Spoke to Hogan a couple of years ago and found him quiet and shy. Might still be that way.
  15. I do. Didn't we also get Neale-Bullen and Oscar in the same deal?
  16. Price of smoothies will go through the roof.
  17. I think this player swapping and Free Agency etc, will kill interest in the draft. Youngsters are paraded on stage in their new club jumper and within a few years and in some cases, one year, are at another club.
  18. Don't think we did too much wrong. I said at the time he retired that we hadn't delisted him, so that if he ended up going elsewhere we could trade him. He did, we did, welcome HL. Alternatives are, he leaves for nothing, or stays retired. We did the best we could out of the MC manipulation.
  19. In a nutshell, forgetting whether he has an illness or not, it would be fair to say that most that are angry with MC on Demonland, are angry because he cost us pick 12, gave us 15 games for $2m and now looks likely to dominate with the Cats, when as a result of the limited output of 15 games for $2m, he should be dominating for us.
  20. Yikes !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
  21. I do expect Cross to retire. I see Jordie, JT if not recovered, Michie, Riley, Bail and Pedersen as most vulnerable. I think Fitzy may go past Pedo this year. I have Grimes, M. Jones, Jamar and Terlich in next group, if they have poor years. However, I think we will take Jake Lovett and only a few more this year. We have turned over half the list in 18 months. This year will see fewer changes IMO, with the concentration on developing our own talent.
  22. It could be summed up this way. MC signed a huge contract with us for 4 years. Got injured in the first year, again in the second and missed the third. Played a total of about 15 games in 3 years earning about $2m. May or may not have suffered from depression. Had recurring soft tissue injuries, after apparently getting over the primary injuries to his foot. Contract terminated and he was paid out but not delisted. Club may have offered a small contract for 2015. Manager fielded offers from firstly the Pies, who thought they had him and then the Cats. His girlfriend/wife is doing a medical course in Geelong. The Cats were a good side, better than us, who may have offered more than the Pies. Roos didn't fight to keep him and a trade was on the table. We got HL. Last night was a practice match, where he played on a smaller player Cheney and a Rookie. Half his goals were simple ones anyway. Not wrist slashing time at the moment. The rest will play out over the following year (s).
  23. No his contract was terminated when he retired and he was paid out, but was not delisted, so he could be traded, which he was.
  24. I don't recall that, but accept what you say. If true that he had perhaps lost his team mates, that would explain why Roos din't try and keep him.
