  1. No, you would be in your Rolls Royce, as you haven't traded it in.
  2. But you don't get the gun kid at 5 if you haven't got the pick. What I was saying is that obviously it is better to get more than less. Some on here are absolutely happy to fold and accept less. Of course it is a balance and I have faith in the FD to get a good deal, but surely we would prefer the best possible deal, rather than a quick one.
  3. But we might be closer to a premiership by getting a better deal than you are happy to accept. For example, if we get May, lose Hogan, but say retain pick 5 and draft a gun kid, who comes in and plays every game and eventually adds another 200, that is a better result than not having that pick. So yes, you can be happy to get a commodore, if all you want is a car to get around, but getting a porsche is a better result.
  4. It must be over by now.
  5. One man's garbage is another man's antique.
  6. It has also enhanced and improved photographs.
  7. TBH IF he is going to be traded and considering we want May, I don't really care anymore what the deal is, as long as we are left with pick 5. If GC are happy to take the rest of what we get, whatever it is and we can wrap KK into the deal somehow, or do it separately for an acceptable pick, then I would be happy. I think it is really about what we are left with after getting May. If it is pick 5 then fantastic, as that is a very good player, or the opener for more deals.
  8. Wasn’t that Tom Morris?
  9. What, you don't think JM will run the deal past DL before accepting?
  10. And we take pick 6 as well and clear him to them.
  11. Disagree. If we don't get what we want he stays.
  12. I wonder if Eagles will pounce and tell Jesse to stay one more year and then they will have room and picks to get him and Kennedy will be nearly 34. That would be a real distraction to our year.
  13. Real pity Dom doesn’t accept GC offer as it would make it easier to do the May deal without the Hogan deal. We might be able to get a better pick than we have by bundling other deals like Kent and AVB proceeds to give to GC . It would certainly take the pressure off the Hogan deal.
  14. Accepting the red flags were known, I wonder why you tour him through your facilities and medically test him. Do you think we can get the May deal done with what we have at our disposal?

More to the point, why didn't we, given we will possibly deal AVB to the Swans and have a 2nd round pick and then we could have used that pick plus a pick next year to get May. I guess we will know all in 8 days.
  16. It is definitely not the price, as there was a week to go and the negotiations could have kept going. This is either Jesse not wanting to go to Freo, or Freo concerned about his injury or attitude. I still think the deal could go through. If it doesn't, hopefully Jesse signs at least a 2 year extension, or we are in for another year of distraction. The last possibility is that the Eagles have told him to hang in a year and they will get him across, as Kennedy will be 33 and they will have more picks or players to deal with. As someone has said below, it is now off the clip. It could be pure BS.
  17. A Lawyer working for nothing, that is the funniest thing I have ever read on DL.

Might achieve that by deleting the existing Hogan thread.
  19. I have always been totally in favour of getting Preuss. I just don't think he is worth Tyson.

Interesting comment by David Noble Footy Manager of Lions in reference to Neale. He said they would offer pick 5 and that there was also value in getting a deal done that allows other deals to happen. He then said he was very confident of doing the Neale deal.
  21. We don't have the cap room, but getting rid of Kent, Tyson and maybe VDB should leave room even if Jesse stays.
  22. You repeated exactly what I said. Why?
  23. The Suns remain keen to lure the Victorian to Metricon Stadium and it's understood they're prepared to pay a premium – both in salary and tenure – to do so. However, it's understood Tyson, who spent the first two years of his career with Greater Western Sydney, would prefer to remain in Melbourne. The midfielder would also prefer to join a team where he can enjoy on-field success in the near future, having endured the tough times of the Giants' early years and Melbourne's lengthy rebuild under Paul Roos.
