Farewell Jesse Hogan
And Cerra has just extended his contract and won’t be cleared.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BRAYDON PREUSS
Maybe he is the closest we can get to an American giant, who can play forward or ruck.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
May will be 27 in January. Probably has 4 seasons in him. He is 193cms and that is not big for a key defender these days. He is averaging only 15 games a year over his 8 years. He is not quick and will get slower. I am not sure he is the best bet. Would we better placed, if trading Jesse, to ask for their early 2 first rounders, if Neale goes and Alex Pearce, maybe clearing Kent back home in the deal?

We are in the box seat and Freo are desperate.

As long as we are not the ones stuffed, leave it to the turkey.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Yep it is but you have to try. Well Lever was 2 high picks at the time and Jesse is worth more as a key forward who can play in the midfield, than a sweeping defender. Personally I want to keep him, but we are talking on the basis he wants to leave.

It's not GC's pick it would be Lions' if they get Neale and give it to Freo. After GC gets 3 for Lynch it would be 5 & 6 if that was the scenario. I would want both and try to keep both and find a player and a later pick to satisfy GC for May. Then we are in for some chance at exciting talent.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Finally we get a realistic assessment. I would want their first pick and the Neale pick and Brayshaw, with which we might get May for one of those picks. Then the deal would be May, a top rated young player and Brayshaw. That is what a smart club would achieve. Hogan cost us 2 top picks and we have stood by him, as he has developed through a lot of lost games through injury and illness and is now entering his best years and he is contracted. I want a great deal IF he wants to go, or forget it. The Dockers are desperate for a big fish to calm the members and he would be a whale.

I think these days the clubs see if any interest and if none then delist. They all do it.

Andrew Gaff
Who is the younger mid that will be a FA like Gaff and not cost us another 2 first round picks? Different scenarios.

Blues want Walsh and he goes pick 1. They will not give it up. Other deals will have to be done.

No Priority Pick to give Crows and they don't want to give Pick 1. How do they do the deal now?

If they only got access to the first 2 state league players, 1 pick each, that is not bad.

Post Match Discussion - Preliminary Final
Might be more to the point to ask the players why their disposal and ball handling turned to crap. 50 of the first 57 points scored by the Eagles came from turnovers. Our disposal and handling of the ball was as bad as I have ever seen it. If you can't pass the ball or grab it, you lose and lose badly.
