Yes good luck Dom and thanks for your efforts for the Dees.
  2. I have already done it. Posted on the May thread " #902 Posted 1 hour ago Because of the Lever deal, we have nothing to trade with GC, unless the Hogan deal goes through. JM has said it and Freo are using it. Also because JH probably will only go home, we are stymied in dealing with another club. I wonder if we could get GC to approach him, with the help of the AFL to bump up any offer and make him one of the highest paid players in the game, on a long contract. This could suit GC and the AFL. To replace their captains leaving, with the potential best young key forward in the game. The publicity alone would be great for them in rebuilding the club. I wonder if Jessie could be talked into the sun and sea being a surfer. If this could be done, we would be able to do the May, KK deal and possibly get a top 3 pick from GC, with them getting something back. Then we are looking at Rankine or Rozee. How good a deal could that be? I wonder who the other clubs that are nibbling are? If JH and us could shaft Freo, by getting a better deal, it would be magnificent. On the other hand, if the deal goes through with Fre and we get May and KK, I don't see it being what many of us hoped for. I can't see realistically how we can do the May deal alone and that is a pity."

Well done Dees and now there are a couple of small deals that we need to find a way to get done.

From the AFL site summing up the clubs, this is ours: If there's one club which has become ruthless in every facet of its operation ... then it is this one. It is all-in on the pursuit of success. It could still end up ugly. But we love the bull-at-a-gate desperation it is displaying on and off field.
  6. A poster on Bigfooty has said that a 9 Perth reporter, has tweeted that JH's Manager met with another club today, about JH. Do we have another interested party?
  7. I think the best thing we can do now, is talk to GC and see how we can get the May deal done, without the Hogan deal. Next year's first pick, a pick this year, a player we are prepared to let go who wants to go there, or even get them to up the offer to Tyson and we pay some of the salary. If we can somehow do that, then we simply state our minimum price for Hogan and if they don't pay it, he stays and we negotiate with West Coast next year, who hopefully act responsibly. You never know, Jesse might be so angry at Freo, that he signs an extension with us and we move on.
  8. Freo is behind the Beams wants to go home story and Lions say it is BS.
  9. Well Dodoro's title of Trade Week Ars-hole, has probably been taken by Bell. He is actually seeking to destabilize clubs and players, if this report is true. He should be taken to task by the other clubs.
  10. "There was movement at the station, for the word had got around" Banjo knew all about trade week.
  11. You don't like cars?
  12. Who said they want Keilty. But if he did and they did, it's a yes from me.
  13. They won't get the pick 3 comparable if they go up the ladder a few spots and it could be 7 or 8 at best. Therefore 11 is not that far away and they are pretty desperate to put this to bed this trade period and not have the disruption next year. I would not lose Sam Frost and that is way overs anyway. 11 is possibly unders so maybe we sweeten the deal with a later pick.
  14. 2 hours ago, Redleg said: TBH IF he is going to be traded and considering we want May, I don't really care anymore what the deal is, as long as we are left with pick 5. If GC are happy to take the rest of what we get, whatever it is and we can wrap KK into the deal somehow, or do it separately for an acceptable pick, then I would be happy. I think it is really about what we are left with after getting May. If it is pick 5 then fantastic, as that is a very good player, or the opener for more deals. No there it is.
  15. Tyson has knocked back GC. Would need him to change his mind. If Tyson agreed, it would be more likely to be Tyson and 11 for May and KK and 39 to Roos for Preuss.
  16. They obviously know what we will accept and are getting to that position and improving their own, by getting better later picks.
  17. Probably Rozee as Lukosius and Rankine will be gone.
  18. Hoping GC happy to do May for 11 then, plus maybe a sweetener to GC, so they can move on. That would leave us with 5 which would be great.
  19. I think I said I would ask for 2 low picks and a player or another pick or whatever, but that was the opening price. Obviously that would then be negotiated down. I have since posted recently, about an hour ago, that I actually don't care what the deal is, as long as we ended up with May, KK and pick 5. We could then do what we wanted with pick 5. What I would be upset about, is a May for Hogan deal with nothing else. Of course I would be happy to upgrade our position. I am just not as in a hurry to fold and accept a poor offer as others on here. There is still time to do deals and I think the FD have it in hand atm. If we are at wednesday afternoon and nothing has happened, then that is a different scenario, which I am confident we would have prepared for with contingency plans.
  20. Had his fingers crossed behind his back. I would say it's the missus that wants to go home.
  21. GC would absolutely do it in a heartbeat.
  22. You think Neale is worth Beams and pick 5?
  23. So ignoring the analogies, are you saying you would be happy to get pick 5 and give it to GC for May and that is the end of the deal. May for Hogan. I would be very upset.
  24. No, you would be in your Rolls Royce, as you haven't traded it in.
  25. But you don't get the gun kid at 5 if you haven't got the pick. What I was saying is that obviously it is better to get more than less. Some on here are absolutely happy to fold and accept less. Of course it is a balance and I have faith in the FD to get a good deal, but surely we would prefer the best possible deal, rather than a quick one.
