WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
I recall reading on DL many posts as to what a crap player Frost is and should be traded at the end of the year. I posted he should be in the side, after Lever was injured and certainly ahead of Petty, who I think will become a very good player for us. After a few games back in the side, he was lauded by DL and the media, for his attacking play in Defence. Suddenly he was a good footballer. While he is capable of the odd Clanger, he is still a handy player for us. Just because he has some limitations, like all players, doesn’t mean that he hasn’t improved. Also just because he has not succeeded, say in previous stints in the ruck, doesn’t mean if needed there now, he wouldn’t handle it better. I am not saying he is a ruckman or a winger, just that he might do ok there if needed to fill in,because of the attributes he has and that he has developed somewhat the last couple of years. I think there is a tendency to categorise players and sometimes incorrectly. We all do it.

Been reading my posts again PF? I also said in a pinch he could help out in the ruck as once the contest is over he becomes another mid.

THE KID - A TRIBUTE TO COLIN SYLVIA
Excellent tribute Jack. So sad that it required writing. Agree with Saty’s comments on Colin too, he was an extremely friendly bloke, who was always happy to have a chat and a laugh.

Draft Needs Analysis
If Preuss and Max are in the seniors, who is rucking at Casey, a skinny 18 year old Bradtke, who has hardly played footy the last few years, I think not. How would our mids and setups go, with no chance of practice to a winning ruckman. IMO, we will rookie an experienced ruck like Campbell, who can also play forward if required, when Preuss is playing for Casey.

Draft Needs Analysis
I am pretty confident we will rookie an experienced ruck to play at Casey and share time with Bradtke and also be the emergency for Max and Preuss.

Draft Needs Analysis
Full forward at Casey. We have no one else to play there anyway.Tom Campbell has played there for the Dogs.

Draft Needs Analysis
Read what I said. I said we need another EXPERIENCED ruck, as we have a project ruck in Bradtke and without Hogan, they shouldn’t risk injuries to Tom and Sam in the ruck, ad we are short of key forwards. Someone like Tom Campbell as a rookie for a couple of years, is needed until Bradtke can develop. We have lost Pedo and if Max and Preuss go down we are in trouble.

Draft Needs Analysis
We have a project ruck in Bradtke. We need another experienced ruck in case Max and Preuss go down.
