  1. 3 big Adelaide ins this week and the Captain revved up by all in the media for being scared. A big weekend coming up for us. We seem to get 1 -2 back and lose another couple, if not more each week.
  2. Finlayson is their 3rd key forward and Tom is basically our only one. We let our main key man go and didn't replace him at all and left the whole job to Tom and a still developing Weid. That is great list management.
  3. Finlayson this year. games wins kicks marks handballs disposals goals behinds 10 7-0-3 106 55 26 132 22 9 Tom Mac 10 3-0-7 72 38 45 117 8 9
  4. Another specialty.
  5. Our other specialty.
  6. One of our specialties.
  7. When will the Tanking accusations start?
  8. It won't be a guarantee other than " deserve to play and we will play you" , with a bit of lenience on the application of the word deserve.
  9. Dees will do everything they can to get NJ to 300 and he deserves it.
  10. Interesting that Hogan has kicked only 8 goals so far this year with a few Joe the Goose ones included and also didn’t have a single kick against the Lions. Clearly not setting the world on fire.
  11. We haven't got a good second or third tall forward, so not a bad idea at low cost and trade price to have got one. BTW Finlayson has good form at both ends of the ground and unlike most of our players, can take a mark, kick a goal and even pass the footy accurately.
  12. Dusty suppressed his team to a flag, winning a Brownlow along the way. Wish we had a suppressor.
  13. We cleared one to the Dockers. Who do you suggest we can get? Another May deal?
  14. Fair enough. Happy we have nice guys with no skill.
  15. Terrible news and just so sad. Sincerest condolences to Brad and family and friends.
  16. Think that is just Andrew, low key and quiet. Pretty sure they are happy he stays in Melbourne.
  17. Well done, think you got it first.
  18. We obviously did medicals on May and KK.
  19. This bloke was gettable last trade period and I was pushing him hard on DL, with not a lot of support from other posters. Given our current position with key forwards and his form, he would have been invaluable. GWS was looking to make salary cap room and he would not have cost a lot in salary or trade. I said at the time he was big, mobile and could play both ends of the ground. He would have been a good get for us and might have helped us win another game or two to this point of the season, which would have kept our finals chances alive. Big pity.
  20. Rather him kicking for goal than most of our players.
  21. Maybe a bit too much with 4-5 but would agree with taking at least 2 picks if we could LTI a player. I would look for best key forward and best skillful/pacy player around and if a 3rd pick was possible a young Jeffy type, as Bedford will be a way off if he even makes it. More than likely however we will go very conservative and take only one pick. Not clearing AVB to the Swans for a pick or player, is turning out another disaster for us with him unable to get on the park again.
  22. Yep. I think his natural game has been coached out of him, with him being told he is not to turnover the ball at all costs and that has stopped him playing on like he did in his first few games. He was a run and carry player who is now stop start. I think he has improvement in him.
  23. And in the end, instead of completely capitulation like in years gone by, we hung in and had our best quarter in weeks and lost by only 4 goals. If we are realistic, on paper the teams suggested an 80 point win to the Giants. My God Corey Wagner was on Kelly at times, Lockhart on Whitfield etc. Get real people. The real disappointment is the lack of skill across the list. What summed up the whole game for me was the Lockhart pass late in the game to Viney who had a 193 cm player next to him and then the kick went high up in the air. Seriously?
  24. No you are not Dazzle. He is a whipping boy on here. I would be getting rid of plenty before him. Needs a few more games and hopefully as confidence grows we can see his best. At the top of the list to go IMO is the most frightened player on the list, Jeffy.
  25. Don't think he caused a turnover today.
