I thought at the time Jab Watson didn't say that by accident or frustration, there had to be a reason. And there you go... The Eagles crowd were right to boo him and I am sure the booing was as much about his admission to being a cheat as it was about the fact he was allowed to continue to play. I had also wondered why the players and families were not rioting down there but this was obviously designed to get them to follow the party line to have their sentences reduced hence the united front. It is a disgrace what this club has presided over for their players and they should be strongly condemned.

So Casey player Lees got banned not for taking a banned drug but purchasing it. For his intent. As I understand there is an invoice for banned substances at bomber land...I wonder if there will be some sort of similar finding?

One of the main points in all of this is that they gave their players a drug that has not been declared safe for human use. How is that not a breach of their duty of care and bringing the game into disrepute?

We can't capitalise on the work we do.

Ok so I had considered sentiment and certainty and I understand the value of certainty but that is a huge price to pay.

I still don't understand why GWS would part with pick 1 for him when they can get him for free as a free agent. What is in it for them?

I had this bad feeling we may not see Mitch again. To hear he is up and running is great news. Fingers crossed his foot copes with the increased load.

I don't think we would have managed to trade a player to GWS that would have been of sufficient value and that we would be prepared to let go. And we would have been interested in trading 1 compo pick but not both. So while some our ex staff got plenty wrong I don't think we were a realistic chance once GCS put up pick 4.

I think we all would have loved O'mera but were never in the hunt. GCS used pick 4 to get him, something we never could have matched. We only had pick 12 that year and used that to secure Mitch Clarke.

I agree that JT is not quite captain material just yet. But check out the jumper presentation video for Clisby. He speaks exceptionally well for a young man. He has some strong credentials.

I only realised this week you could still draft in players...while playing 1 or 2 backman short each week...I wonder if any results would be different...oh well my bad for not reading the fine print and making the rookie mistake...an extra backman didn't help me this week...well done snomeD
