    This sounds a lot like critisim for the sake of it. We enquired with his management who said he was unavailable...and you think he should have been part of a competitive interview process along with others. I am sure you are smart enough to realise that just wouldn't have happened and it's not what freo did to land him.

    Also it's a bit much to suggest Lyon and be critical of our process to appoint Neeld not being rigorous enough because if we had of gone with Lyon it would not have been though a competitive process, rather it would have been a direct appointment like Freo had done.

    It's funny that Liba retracted his comments when interviewed by the AFL and the investigation went no where. McLean retracts and the investigation still goes ahead. The article seems to back up the belief that the AFL will be charging individuals and not the club.

    I think at this stage we are responding to the findings of the investigation. Charges may or may not happen when it goes to the Commission. But I'm just guessing...

    I was only saying that had we won the game against the tigers...if our priority really was to win a PP (i think it was) then we would have needed to lose the freo game. And given how bad they were at the G, we would have had to pull out all stops to do so....but I agree it's irrelevant to the current investigation.

    I'd suspect that the Blues were investigated in the same manner we have been then similar things may have come out. Brock's comments that sparked the investigation were no more incriminating than Libba or Fev and Vlads response at the time was that unless Libba had a specific allegation there will be no investigation. Only when Brock said what he said (without any specific allegation/instance) Vlad was out of town and AA it would seem made an error in being trigger happy. It may not help our defence but there is a distinction between how this has played out for us as opposed to others.

    I think this is the nub of it for Anderson. Vald would have preferred it was handled as above. For the AFL to speak with McLean and seek out any specific actions because those comments on air, even more so the Liba's, were not enough to warrant an investigation. But Anderson went on his merry way and put the AFL and MFC under a bus. I think he really dropped the ball here in the eyes of the AFL.

    The club has given the expectation that we will fight for the integrity of our club so that tells me we believe we are innocent and will resist charges so I would be surprised if we are discussing penalties. But I do understand deegirl is usually good with her info.

    Even her recent efforts regarding Swan, as much as I wish bad things upon the Pies were poor. And we know about how Hutchy (of all people) took her to pieces regarding her inaccurate reporting of the Roos and Tasmaina, or Cornes being sacked by Power last year, only to go onto win their B&F this year. So no matter which team she is writing about I know I am more likely to be misinformed than informed.Out of interest which are the facts on our tanking from Wilson that have made you feel informed Fan?
