Can't see supporters copping Anderson. He's the one who went for us and nobody else.
-
No. But it will be if he keeps playing the same players with the same result. Definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over, and expecting a different outcome.

I do wish someone would keep Watts away from the media. His credibility is zero. Let him find some consistent form, then wheel him out.

Brown would not have come. Plan B?.......none....thought so. QED

Lyon would have known that Schwab was going down. = won't have a part in the club.

FFS get a grip. Anderson is the one who instigated the investigation of ONLY THE MFC. Jeezus wept. He is totally compromised. Some of the posts are getting more and more ridiculous.
-
As ever, MFC lacks leaders. There are no ex-players of note who can help lead this club eg Dunstall. Lyon can go jump - gutless. Remember, it was payments largely to him that were the cause of our salary cap breach in the late 90's (correct me if I am wrong). One way Garry; take take, not a lot of give. Can his picture be removed from the DL banner? Jones would be a good replacement.

Who knows if the quoted $s are correct (but seems high to me), but I think Schwab's contract came up at the end of Aug. The investigation was underway. The club might well have said 1 yr; he might have said no, I want 3. A compromise of 3 yrs, with a 6month clause according to Kero, was struck, because he needed to stay to see out the investigation.

I'm still p1ssed that we didn't get Hardwick. And remember, if Bailey had had a half decent 1st year coaching (2008), tanking wouldn't have come into it in 2009.
-
Reckon you're right. Think against non-aligned teams, there's a limit on AFL listed players - think Taggert was the one to miss out. Bail was originally in the 2s (WTF) but came into Casey 1s when Davis pulled out. Need our own VFL team.

Rivers was an unrestricted free agent - he could go wherever he wanted/was wanted.

And who would they be?

Now, that's what I call delusional. FMD

TV rights demands 18 teams; 9 games a week. Tassie is a basket case economy wise. Easier to prop up NM, MFC and WB.

What McLardy is saying is that when Neeld was appointed, he (and Craig) were given total control to build the club, playing list, assistant coaches etc; they will have whatever resources they want. Now, 14 months later (24 games), he is saying that we must have patience, it will turn around. And that makes sense. Trouble is, the team has not performed in any way over those 24 games that even suggests that there has been improvement at all. 2013 has started the same way as 2012 (possibly worse). Blind faith can carry for only so long. (I am reminded of my uncle who bought his lotto tickets every week, and watched the numbers drop every Saturday night, ever hopeful. Of course, he died having never won.) If there is no improvement by mid year, you'd have to think the whole process has been a failure, and McLardy, Healy and Schwab will go. And Neeld's position would be untenable. AFL may have to step in then. I wonder why the media have been so negative, even before the year started - some saying Melbourne will finish last; seemed absurd. Could it be that this latest process/build has been built around "sport science" (ie Craig), rather than around a usual footy process (whatever that may be). The message from the club seems to be: get talented players, and get them fit enough, then the rest will follow.

Denham and Walsh even had a free kick at Clarke - 9 kicks, 1 goal (28 forward entries guys!).....oh and he's now a $800k a year player. FFS Just make it up.

Won't happen. There will be no merges; clubs will fold rather than merge or move. Melbourne stays Melbourne, or nothing.
-
Excellent training facilities, whole new FD with any resource they want, Royal aside lots of youngish coaches (ie contemporary), once a week at Casey - excellent surface........ What's toxic about this? (If you are talking about Schwab again, or the board, I bet they are virtually invisible. Jees, they must be evil personified. FFS)

Who is Pederson in for? Out: Sellar, Watts, Gillies, Toumpas, Nicholson, Jamar In: Pederson, Kent, Bail, Spencer, Tapscott, Evans/Jetta Pederson plays down back, Clark to be relief ruck, Rodan sub. Eagles not travelling so well; maybe keep the loss to less than 10 goals.

My OP is not related to his form. I just don't think his heart is in it. He is a great talent in many ways and will carve out a life for himself somewhere, just not in AFL football.

Just puting it out here. I reckon Watts will walk away from AFL When he came back from injury at the end of 2012, he was dreadful. This year he has been dreadful. Modern AFL requires more than talent/skill, a lot more. Don't think he has the balance.

Guys. Get a room. Boring.

Contributing factor to our current state: the VFL alignment
Mono replied to Swooper Northey's topic in Melbourne Demons
Get a grip. If there is a problem, it has been from the MFC side. For the past 2 or 3 years, Casey have finished high up the ladder, only to have MFC players stripped from their teams for finals. An absolute disgrace. MFC treat the Casey club/team with contempt. There's your problem. Ed: needless to say, Casey have been flogged in subsequent finals. Look at Geelong for a good role model.
