POSTGAME: Rd 12 vs Brisbane
Brisbane would have got him much cheaper with MFC paying a fair bit of the $800k for 2021. His current contract finishes this year.

CHANGES: Rd 13 vs Collingwood
When he played against Carlton? he played with a lot of energy and was in a lot of pack/fall of ball contests, but didn't get much of the ball. Maybe he is a Mid; that's gonna make it hard for him.

CHANGES: Rd 13 vs Collingwood
Pretty sure there is a quote for the club somewhere saying he was drafted as a (backup) forward. Then Tommy stepped up to A grade and Brown is in the 2s. Majak's best year by a long shot was when he played down back for North. Can also play ruck. So............

CHANGES: Rd 13 vs Collingwood
Where did Chandler play? As a Mid, or small forward.

Danger period lies ahead ...
The mantra is: finish the game, review and reset for the next. Nothing will change no matter the opposition. Its been a long time since I have been so constantly confident in a MFC side.

Farewell Sam Weideman
It all comes down to what the club thinks internally, what Weideman's role is and does he fulfil it. I suspect though that Brown will get a run of games sometime. Through injury?

Melksham/Sparrow for Langdon. Think Goodwin holds Melksham in high regard.

POSTGAME: Rd 12 vs Brisbane
I think no-one expects us to win, including many of us until 4 or 5 weeks ago. Now we do. (Even when we don't if that makes sense.)

Jonathan Brown nearly became a Demon in 2008
Strange indeed. Seem to remember McNamee's one strategy was to get a star for huge $s. Any star. Didn't matter.

CHANGES: Rd 12 vs Brisbane
Langton usually plays >90% game time, Brayshaw >85%, so not sure when Jordon has played the wing much. Also Jordon usually plays 55-70% game time, so not sure he has the tank for the wing

Last time I looked, Gus and Gawny weren't on the match committee.

The political machinations at Collingwood
This is what happens when a dictatorship ends; civil war starts. https://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/teams/collingwood-magpies/afl-2021-jeff-browne-challenge-for-collingwood-presidency-magpies-board-mark-korda-afl-360-reaction-news/news-story/5b1f88f35783559b3ad6b54fb406d469

CHANGES: Rd 12 vs Brisbane
I think Tmac and Brown are fighting for the one spot. Reckon the plan was for Brown and Weid to be the forward talls until Tommy turned his game around and is first picked.

CHANGES: Rd 12 vs Brisbane
Agree. N-B has the tank. What about Bedford as an in? Pressure forward. Been really good in the 2s I believe. Weideman stays. Jumped for lots of marks and just failed to clunk a few. Brought ball to ground Brown needs to show something before a call up.

CHANGES: Rd 11 vs Western Bulldogs
If Viney is ready, Melksham is the out.

CHANGES: Rd 11 vs Western Bulldogs
I was gonna reply, but I'll just block you. BTW, we're just 5 games out of the 8. Knife slashing wrists.

CHANGES: Rd 11 vs Western Bulldogs
Salem in, Jetta out. Maybe Sparrow for Melksham. That's it for mine. The hysteria on this forum is bizarre. Won the game against Crows except for some appalling umpire decisions, when the team was not having its best day in front of 50k idiotic Crows fans. Brown has 4 touches on the 2s. Watched the Carlton game and Weidman was good. FFS

What is our best team currently?
Weideman ahead of Brown for mine.
-
Jordan Clark
No for mine. Who would he replaced in our best 22, or best 30 for that matter.
-
CHANGES: Rd 10 vs Adelaide
I reckon no change. Going conservative on Jackson. Chandler deserves a couple of games.
-
Why Oliver is More Dangerous Than You Think
Yep. They traded up the draft just to get Oliver. In Roos time.
-
CHANGES: Rd 10 vs Adelaide
I agree. I thought Weideman was good. Looked better than Brown and just failed to clunk a few marks.
