  1. I think Tmac and Brown are fighting for the one spot. Reckon the plan was for Brown and Weid to be the forward talls until Tommy turned his game around and is first picked.
  2. Agree. N-B has the tank. What about Bedford as an in? Pressure forward. Been really good in the 2s I believe. Weideman stays. Jumped for lots of marks and just failed to clunk a few. Brought ball to ground Brown needs to show something before a call up.
  3. If Viney is ready, Melksham is the out.
  4. I was gonna reply, but I'll just block you. BTW, we're just 5 games out of the 8. Knife slashing wrists.
  5. Salem in, Jetta out. Maybe Sparrow for Melksham. That's it for mine. The hysteria on this forum is bizarre. Won the game against Crows except for some appalling umpire decisions, when the team was not having its best day in front of 50k idiotic Crows fans. Brown has 4 touches on the 2s. Watched the Carlton game and Weidman was good. FFS
  6. Weideman ahead of Brown for mine.
  7. No for mine. Who would he replaced in our best 22, or best 30 for that matter.
  8. I reckon no change. Going conservative on Jackson. Chandler deserves a couple of games.
  9. Yep. They traded up the draft just to get Oliver. In Roos time.
  10. I agree. I thought Weideman was good. Looked better than Brown and just failed to clunk a few marks.
  11. 6 - Oliver 5 - TMac 4 - Lever 3 - Salem 2 - Jordon 1 - Langdon
  12. 6.Petracca 5.Lever 4.Oliver 3.Gawn 2.Salem 1.Fritsch
  13. For what its worth, I don't think money will decide whether Oliver goes or stays.
  14. This is the most important bit. Lynch took less at R'mond than was offered elsewhere; even Riewold took a pay cut to help get them all in. And don't be blackmailed like Grundy.
  15. Oliver was BOG for mine. Jetta was oustanding. Brayshaw did a lot of important hard things, and pinpoint passes
  16. 4 set shots from 40m in last 5 minutes, none on an angle, none made the distance, or were even on line. Jackson!! Petracca after siren. At least Fritsch made the distance.
  17. Difficult. 6 Oliver 5 Lever 4 Mc Donald 3 May 2 Brayshaw 1 Langdon
  18. Let me balance the fan boi stuff. Not a fan of Williams after he held PA to ransom for huge coaching contract after flag. Not a lot to show after flag; short lived gigs at different clubs.
  19. Daw's one good (very good) year at North was as a key/intercept backman. He had little impact as a forward and ruck in the other 10? yrs he was there. If MFC think he can fill a ruck and/or forward roll, they are not considering his history at North, just his size. Having said that, I was surprised they delisted him as he didn't play in defence after returning from injury last year, and there's no harm (and minimal cost) having him on our list. But his value is as a backman.
  20. I've seen nothing since 2018 that gives me any hope for success. I think Goodwin has fired whatever shots he has and will be gone by mid-year.
  21. Jones was never an A grader. A solid B grader in a very poor side for years.
  22. MFC Predictions Ladder position at the end of the H&A season: 10th Position at the end of the season (e.g. stage of finals): 10th B&F top 5 (1 point for correct inclusion, 1 point for correct place): 1. Gawn 2. May 3. Petracca 4. Oliver 5. Brown Leading goalkicker: Brown Most marks: Lever Best first year player: Laurie Most improved player: Jackson All Australian 40-man squad selections (1 point each): Trac, Oliver, May, Gawn, All Australian final 22 selections (1 point each): Gawn, May Big Ben Brown will kick his biggest goal tally against: North Melbourne Biggest winning margin (exact guess is 5 points, within 1 point margin is 4 points etc): 89 points Biggest MFC story of the year (5 points): Goodwin stands down mid season Other MFC predictions (1 point each): Oliver accepts deal from another club AFL predictions Premier: Brisbane Runner-up: Richmond Wooden spoon: North Melbourne Biggest improver: Bulldogs Biggest slider: Collingwood Brownlow medal: Neal Coleman medal: Tom Lynch Rising star: Rowell Based on: We were flattered with 9th finish; we should have lost last game to Dons if they hadn't suddenly pulled Danaher and Shiel from centre square in last 5? minutes. If they'd won, they would have dropped back 3 spots in the draft. Brown is the only addition to 2020 team. Don't think he'll make much difference. Goodwin's peak was 2018. Nothing new left to offer.
  23. Didn't he win the Rising Star ahead of Cripps? Not too shabby.
