Media has also reported that his contract is heavily back ended. Talk about a stuff up. I'd have him in a heart beat BTW.

If we don't get Brown, and the Filth pay some of Treloar's contract for next 2/3/4 years, it might be doable. Heard on talkback (SEN) that Treloar wants to spend half each week in Qld; doubt any Melb club would touch that.

Maybe he said he is staying in Perth. Simple as that.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN BROWN

Doubt he'd accept $650k given what he knocked back at North. -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN BROWN

I was trying to make the point that North effectively offered him 4 yrs Money is a key determinant for Brown Happily Melbourne has had no public media coverage about money a la Collingwood. -

North offered 3 years with a 4th yr option @ $850k. And he knocked it back. Certainly has a high opinion of himself. -

If Hogan really wants to play AFL, I'd have him in a heart beat over Brown. Probably much cheaper too. But does Hogan still have the stomach for AFL? -

Would not touch Brown with a barge pole. Too fragile, too limited. If he doesn't catch it, he's done. The best (ie big coin) forwards do more than catch it; even the King boys. Brown can't. -
Agree entirely. Adelaide and West Coast - 2 flag favourites - got belted. Just saying.

No. Scott gave Abblett 5. Beyond words.

Much of the comment is hysterical. We lost because of 20 pathetic minutes, not individual players. 1st quarter - excellent 2nd qtr - 1st 10 mins - good 2nd qtr - last 20 min - pathetic (go home stuff) 3rd & 4th qtr - good Not going to beat many teams unless good (or better) for whole game.

Melksham and ANB - skills not good enough at AFL level/intensity. They have had lots of chances. (ANB a great disappointment after an A+ preseason.) Nothing I saw has me wanting Maynard and Wagner out. (eg Wagner tackle on Selwood.) We lost because of 20 pathetic minutes, not individual players. Pre-condition to play: hardness!

Lewis and Dunstan are the feature players on the HFC web site, as of now. -
Jesse Hogan re-signs to end of Season 2019
Mono replied to Lucifers Hero's topic in Melbourne Demons
2 extra years is good for the club. It will then know just how good he is, rather than be paying long, big contract, largely on promise.- 409 replies

The Jesse Hogan Panic Room - all contract talk here
Mono replied to Grapeviney's topic in Melbourne Demons
As Roos said: no matter where he is, Hogan will be well paid; he has to decide where he wants to be. If he goes home, a deal will get done; MelbourneFC moves on (albeit with plenty of salary cap space). IMO, no player in a successful team gets $1m - consider Geelong and Hawks. I'm happy if he stays; if he goes, so be it.
