  2. I haven't read much of this thread so apologies if this has been raised. I've been to 3 games live this year and paid close attention to opposition kick outs from our goals. We are absolutely toying with them. We allow them to do almost what they want inside our 50. It's once they get to half back/ wing where we clamp down and literally wait for them to make a mistake. They have to take some risky kicks to get through or they kick to a contest which is what we want. I used to get frustrated with the ease teams would run the ball out, but now just watch and admire how much faith the players have in their system.
  3. Saw a Blues player raise his arms in protest against a decision in the dying minutes against Port. Nothing to see here according to that umpire, right in front of him.

  5. Weid did some really good things last night. He was playing BBB role to a tee and got up the ground regularly, even brought the ball to the ground. He was a F50 target on many occasions but didn't clunk a few he should have. He will be stiff but he ain't no BBB sadly.
  6. We are currently enjoying the 2nd best winning streak in the history of the club with 12 on the trot. Record is 19.
  7. I stopped parking years ago OD, but I do often see people in cars not moving when walking to station post match
  8. Hard to do votes but I thought that was Steven Mays best game for the club. Would have been a different match without his dominance particularly the first quarter. I suspect anyone actually at the G last night would be giving him BOG
  9. It was utter chaos getting home. A while platform shut down at Richmond and all Pakenham line punters had to get off at Caulfield for buses, and their were none to be seen. I walked away from the masses and was lucky a lovely taxi driver noticed me with my 2 kids and went out of his way to pick us up. Disgraceful scenes at Caulfield, imagine if this was a 50k crowd!
  10. There were a lot of highlights tonight but that is just an amazing piece of play by Sparrow. Got a standing ovation by many at the ground. Superb
  11. M12 would be real good on the flank. Anyone else having trouble with MFC app to access tickets? I can’t open the app at all??
  12. Have you tried deleting and reinstalling the app Balls?
  13. Is the stand rule still a thing? I saw at least 4 times where Doggies players moved all over the place standing the mark without being pinged 50! We seemed to do it every time!
  14. If we lost May whilst all these guys are out I reckon we’d see Majak get games. Let’s just hope it never gets to that, but I reckon he’d go ok if needed for a few weeks!
  15. Trains no better. How hard is it to schedule more bloody transport on a big event night!
  16. Apologies if this has been mentioned. The MCG car park was closed last night and there was no public announcement by the club or AFL although I believe the MCC may have advised it’s members. Traffic was awful, how many bums on seats this cost we’ll never know but I’d assume several thousand would not have found anywhere nearby to park! That’s poor form
  17. Knew we had them Naughton over celebrated his goal in the 2nd qtr! Felt strangely calm at The G myself!
  18. Sorry if it’s been pointed out already but it’s been Enter Sandman for 2 years now! Gets me absolutely pumped and wish they’d play the whole tune instead of Grand old flag after the run thru the banner! Leave that for after the game!
  19. That was awesome. Didn’t think I’d still feel emotional 6 months later but there you go. Flag unfurling will be a must see!
  20. I wish this new interpretation was around when Ablett was playing. Would make our 8 x50s against Blues look pedestrian all these blokes !
  21. Gotta give Carlton some credit, they smashed us in the middle, and anyone who thinks they are no good is living in the past. To be honest , I don’t think we put a huge amount of effort into this game, dare I say we looked bruise free for most the night and maybe we are just priming for round 1. We don’t make those sloppy skill errors when we are fair dinkum.
  22. No I’m with you and thought same last year! Very similar style of play, hard as a cats head, robust type. Walked past him locally last year. Built like a brick sheethouse. Kid will be a star in a few years. Welcome to DL!
