POSTGAME: Rd 01 vs Western Bulldogs

Trains no better. How hard is it to schedule more bloody transport on a big event night! -
POSTGAME: Rd 01 vs Western Bulldogs
Hellaintabadplacetobe replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Apologies if this has been mentioned. The MCG car park was closed last night and there was no public announcement by the club or AFL although I believe the MCC may have advised it’s members. Traffic was awful, how many bums on seats this cost we’ll never know but I’d assume several thousand would not have found anywhere nearby to park! That’s poor form -

Knew we had them Naughton over celebrated his goal in the 2nd qtr! Felt strangely calm at The G myself! -

Sorry if it’s been pointed out already but it’s been Enter Sandman for 2 years now! Gets me absolutely pumped and wish they’d play the whole tune instead of Grand old flag after the run thru the banner! Leave that for after the game! -

That was awesome. Didn’t think I’d still feel emotional 6 months later but there you go. Flag unfurling will be a must see! -
POSTGAME: Community Series vs Carlton

I wish this new interpretation was around when Ablett was playing. Would make our 8 x50s against Blues look pedestrian all these blokes ! -
POSTGAME: Community Series vs Carlton
Hellaintabadplacetobe replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Gotta give Carlton some credit, they smashed us in the middle, and anyone who thinks they are no good is living in the past. To be honest , I don’t think we put a huge amount of effort into this game, dare I say we looked bruise free for most the night and maybe we are just priming for round 1. We don’t make those sloppy skill errors when we are fair dinkum. -
Was thinking of writing something identical. Can’t give this article much credibility if it a) fails to mention him even as depth and b) thinks he’s a forward. Enormous upside, love him

I can answer a few of your questions! I went to dinner with the Dees last Friday night which was awesome. To answer your earlier question and speaking of leaks, I was at the urinal lol and all the boys came in at same time so there I was suddenly next to Trac! They were talking about Burgo and I asked Trac if we were going to miss him. He very quickly replied no we are in real good hands with Selwyn. Jonesy was also there and whilst he has his feelers out for a few different gigs which he didn’t divulge in, he is preparing for a triathlon. This was not discussed at the urinal ☺️

Harry Petty Out for 4-6 Weeks
Hellaintabadplacetobe replied to John Crow Batty's topic in Melbourne Demons
I went to “dinner with demons” last Friday night and Trac was asked who has impressed him most on the training track this pre-season and ready to go to a new level. Yep, H Petty -

Why Luke Dunstan came to Melbourne
Hellaintabadplacetobe replied to george_on_the_outer's topic in Melbourne Demons
That’s a good point, but it was a done deal! It was a year before the Treloar debacle so maybe they just hadn’t figured out what a complete mess they were in at the time. -
Why Luke Dunstan came to Melbourne
Hellaintabadplacetobe replied to george_on_the_outer's topic in Melbourne Demons
Correct! Steven May had all but agreed to be a Pie until his manager suggested a chat with Goody. After one phone call with him, he told his manager to find a way to get him to The Dees.- 107 replies

I’ve always been envious of the team with the gold AFL logo, I love it… -
GAMEDAY: AFLW Rd 4 vs Adelaide

Daisy needs a big 2nd half. Not sure if it’s just superior opposition or the improved standard of the game has gone past her best. -

Jack Viney Critical Element
Hellaintabadplacetobe replied to picket fence's topic in Melbourne Demons
If there was a best in finals award he would easily be in top 3. He was arguably the most consistent player over the 3 matches. You’d hate to have this bloke as your opponent! -
Woz meets The Cup
Hellaintabadplacetobe replied to Hellaintabadplacetobe's topic in Melbourne Demons
yeah I’m not sure the link I’ve posted originally shows the full clip of them walking the cup in to him. Need someone more tech savvy than me… see if this works? https://fb.watch/alcS-NkNmy/ -
Apologies if this has been shared but I couldn’t see it anywhere? Not sure this link will work, may need some IT gurus help. Just when you thought you couldn’t love this club any more. Get the Kleenex ready https://fb.watch/al8RBR1mxT/

Same! Was wondering if I’d ever see it and just checked mailbox and there it is, my Premiers Tshirt, stoked!

Bailey has been very open about his own battles and panic attacks and become somewhat of a spokesperson about mental illness. He played for my boys club and is still a regular down there even helping with running water at times. He made my youngest boys day at training this year when he waved and said hello to him. A quality young man, down to earth and likeable despite his image. I wish him nothing but the best.

I met and had coffee with Reece about 5 years when he was a regular for The Tiges and mostly spoke about life after footy. He actually was hoping to use his profile to help disadvantaged children. He may still do this later in life but I’m rapt he’s joining us. He was a humble, down to earth character and I’m not surprised Choco endorsed him having spent time with him at the Tiges. Welcome Reece!
