Jordie just got engaged to my sisters niece. A great bloke.

Chandlers goal from early in the year where he sprinted down the wing then across from one flank to another to take the mark and goal was terrific as well. Would love to see it again.

I agree. You need more speed down back
-
There are many rooms in his fathers house

All good WYL. But my point was, Kerry never tried to read the room either. IIRC when KP got in the lift, you got out and waited for another. I met Joe and he treated me ok. Kicked the footy with his kids occasionally down at Alma Park.

That must be near my place. The sewers are overflowing.

I know Ive kicked this can down the road before, but the VAFA ground in Glenhuntly Rd is under utilised by both VAFA and Cricket Victoria. If compromises were put in place this would be a fantastic training ground. MCG sized, new facilities, properly fenced, close to bus, tram and trains. It is in the City of Bayside not Port Phillip which should help politically. A bunch of us use it regularly and like Albert Park, you can generally get on.I should mention that at Albert Park, because of all the sport currently taking place, we have moved the show to oval number 19. I am proud to say I wanted to call it Nutbush.

PRESEASON TRAINING: Monday 27th November, 2023
Damo replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
I couldnt remember all last years numbers (I normally pride myself on it) and I googled MFC player numbers. Most hits showed new players with or without numbers, but only current list. it was no surprise to me that MFC website showed all the last years players and numbers. -

Seems strange that Jake M has lost his number because he is a rookie. -

I cant believe that people have the F%^ing gall to pot Gutnick. He saved us and then instead of any show of being gratefull we had to endure people screaming that he owed $300k and begging us to vote for Gabriel Szondy. Printing out proxys and waving them at the Camberwell city centre meeting. Then to top that off, same loudmouths biching about how Zsondy just phoned it in as president. Can you tell it still gets my goat? I wonder if any of them are around ATM to say Mea Culpa.

Is Sam Van Rooyen a chance to be rookied?

2023 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Damo replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
On the draft night when it comes to our pick 11, can we swap it for someone elses future pick. And could we for instance at our turn, swap our pick 11 plus our future 1st or 2nd to say Hawthorn for their future 1st? Im not asking is it good value, I merely want to know if it is allowed. -
Most on here have had the chance to consider this for a while now. Each year is different but as the years roll by, we make more informed decisions and our team are at least as good it seems as the top 4 or 5. This year we dont need pretty good players, we need a gun to top up with. I'd hope we would swap 6 and 11 for 2 if we had the opportunity.

I hope that "Best Available" holds on against over-thinking and projecting.
-
Wish we did. Maybe a case of nice guys coming last
-
Thats my point!
-
Well yes... but small beer really, compared with those jumping ship to other large clubs in contention.
-
I am a bit disillusioned with no-one really wanting to join us.
-
I would, based on Petty's injuries and his inconsistencies. He may play at his best next year but I am not betting on it.

Saw an old but good mate at the dog park who is very fair and considerate. He is mad Pies fan. Not a member. He hurried up to me. I offered my congratulations. I dont think he noticed my lack of enthusiasm but he went on how MFC must be disppointed in their season. He then said Angus should give it up. I said Maynards actions were a footy act, were they? He said anyone going through the air cant change the outcome. We are both of a certain age and I replied that you dont have to come down like Abdullah the butcher with the butchers chop! I said "George you were the very model of Justice on top of the Supreme Court. As a judge, I cant believe youve put on the blindfold". He said, underneath Im just a defence barrister.
