  1. I think he is quick as most, but his trick is taking posession then stopping on a dime, swivelling and summing up his options quickly. His decisions are normally pretty good now, but its his quick stop and evasion which buys him time. He and Ed langdon are favorites because I think they're both reasonably humble.
  2. Just from the interview, my take was that he is quite happy at melbourne and that he is seriously considering going back west. We certainly have work to do.
  3. Daisy makes a point in the GF around the time Bont put them 19 points up, Rivers had been great all game. I think Ive memorised the whole game.
  4. Its difficult without knowing how long many unfit players are, from being ready to go.
  5. Hey Chopper, Look what youve done.Your mums upset!
  6. I didnt really care about the win till I saw Chopper Beveridge blame a journo for Doggies not being good enough. [censored] Bevo [censored] the Doggies. It was a late withdrawal for Gods Sake. Grow up F$%%Wit
  7. Tried to throw him out of coach meeting. Bevo said it was his loyalty to MFC because Morris heard of Jason J was out 10 minutes before the game.Tom Morris basically laughed at him.
  8. called him a gutter journalist, blamed him for mental health of players. Said he is muck raking trash. Full tilt nutcase
  9. WOW BEVO has gone BUNTA! on journo Tom Morris who barracks for Melbourne. Totally over the top
  10. id have Smith over Hunt. Hunt's a known known
  11. From one Molly Duker to another: Vintage Cellers is 3 doors away and Westlake charge very little for corkage. Go the Ginger Prawns, Sui Mai and the Footballs. Delicious.
  12. If Dragon Boat is open Im happy, but it was totally empty last year and I thought it had turned its toes up. Its great for dinner. West lake is my favorite for Yum Cha at lunch as it is all hand made onsite yet not very expensive. But Dragon Boat (about the same pricing as WestLake) has a nicer dinner menu and IMV a better experience... but its not yumcha, although you can order a small range of entrees that feature on the Yumcha (lunch) menu.

  14. Well no I didnt. Maybe not last time we had a similar match, but similar practice matches in the past, there have been 3 not 4 quarters and another time it was mainly not our top 18 who played. Both these factors are at play for me to decide whether to make an hour journey there and back tomorrow on a work day. It may be easier for you Daisy, being in Bennettswood (Thats the part of Burwood I am from originally. Burwood it seems can be Wattle park or the Burvale)
  15. Anyone know the format? Will it be 4 quarters? Will we have large interchange benches? Will all the teams follow the same format or will it be agreed on the day by the participants? Any info appreciated.
  16. If I remember correctly: Mick said that individually we were near the best midfield, just under Dogs, but because we are now team oriented and look to handball out of stoppages, we have become the best Midfield.
  17. We have no injuries so we need to self-harm.
  18. I honestly cant remember a year since 2000 where there was so little Pre-season training news. Cold Turkey this year.
  19. I know many unfortunate life events have challenged the Saints coach. Maybe Im wrong but I am surprised he still is the coach. The saints are showing immense faith in him. I cant rule out that my perspective is altered since our club has moved forward so much in the last few years.
  20. I think too many posters are looking for bias and jumping at possible shadows in regard to any information regarding the club in the last day or so. Fair enough with the exaggerated cr@p from Herald-Sun about Goody and the inevitable search for informants. But sometimes one should expect the simplest explanation as most probable.
  21. We are supposed to be playing North Melbourne at a venue yet to be revealed. I believe it will be near the end of February. For some reason I think Ballarat was mentioned.
  22. I think if Majak makes it, and I hope he does, is as a forward and part time ruck. He doesnt have as good an instinct to be a backman but up forward as a pea he can straight line to a lead and pack mark/bring it down. His accuaracy has gotten better over the years. We also Have the propensity to have more injuries with talls up forward. If however a back is needed, Petty and Tom Mac can chop out again leaving space for Majak. Also he would have to be the best knock ruckman in the AFL without at least a part time gig. Im a big fan.
  23. I understand there is family in trouble in NT.
  24. Here's hoping we start getting training reviews today. Fingers crossed.
  25. So am I right in thinking the only AFL Demons outdoor training being advertised is: At Casey Fields Closed to public and only Fridays?
