Weids ready to grab opportunity with both hands
I think we will stop more goals in 2019.

Training - Wednesday 16th January, 2019
If I was going to guess who is going to have an injury just before the end of Pre-season I would pick the big Pruess. I hope they start tapering him off but keep him fresh soon. I have no inside info BTW. He just looks like he is going way too hard early daws.

Afl.com’s best midfield
I hope there are more articles coming out that have others as the team(s) to beat. Im over the constant hype. We haven't done that much yet.

Players of note 2019
It is very early to assess where we may land. We have had a couple of years of relatively minimal injuries. We brought back Vanders and Viney isnt out of the woods quite yet. We also had a pretty big pre-christmas walking wounded that although we are reassured that most if not all will be in full training next week, Im not so confidant. I hope Tom Mac is able to play most games. You only need to look at a couple of other clubs, say Carlton and Giants to be reminded of our good management and good luck with injuries lately. I feel confidant knowing that my team of the year 2019 will probably be quite different by Queens birthday but I am really impressed with the apparent struggle for every spot in the 22 coming into the year. Quality on all lines and on the bench. Hmm, Im sure I say that nearly every January.

Tim Smith v Cam Pedersen
I like Pedo and he has been good for us but Smith has capacity to have a better year. Its neither a puzzle or a reason for argument.

Majak Daw seriously injured
I cant believe he survived that fall. I hope he is ok.

Injury List - Season 2019
Brendan McCartney believes how important pre-seasons were. Many players have still to do a full pre-season and how crucial it is to, not only fitness but interestingly, to skill. He said that it is only when the player is at their peak and have totally grown into their body, meaning height as well in Weids case, and actually undergoing a 1st preseason in Vand den and J Smths (I think) case, that the silky side of skills blossoms. I hadnt realised he was foreseeing a large percentage of our best players were going under the knife end of year. It does make you gasp to see how Jack Viney and van den Burg came in at the end of season and took the bull by the horns so to speak. In any case it seems to me the telling part of 2019 will be how we go in the 1st half dozen and the last few matches.

Injury List - Season 2019
I dont post much. You have incorrectly replied or taken out of context my last 2 posts. Please refrain. I dont need you to "stick up" for the club on any of my observations. I don't rate your reports and its is not that you disagree with my posts, it is that you make out I said something I didn't. For the record,i) I didn't bag Garlett although I was ignoring you, ii)I am quite sure the players I have referred to are experiencing an interrupted preseason (your inability to notice this is a giveaway to your knowledge) and iii) I made no reference at all to 1st year players. And if you are going to reply again please dont bloke me. Bloke is not a pronoun.

Injury List - Season 2019
10 of many's best 22 with a very interrupted pre-season. Injury looms as our biggest opponent for the 1st half and maybe all, of 2019.

Training - Monday 3rd December, 2018
#unfortunatelookintomysoul I was idly watching the History of the Eagles the other night when Glenn Frey said we are the best band in the world but need to get Joe Walsh to join to give us more balls and we will be AWESOME. I thought to myself "Steven May...".

Crystal Ball 2019: Predictions for next season
Poor old demonland. I guess it is the time of the year.

Pass Mark 2019
My understanding is that Sam has just finished growing taller and has not yet done a full pre-season. He isnt even 22 until late June. It is fair to hope for a lot more each year from now. I was a convert, but those that know more than me, expect greatness.

2019 Fixture
Im happy with the lack of Sundays.

2019 Fixture
I understood we have quite a few in for surgery after this season finished. I know Oliver and Lever are expecting late starts (Is Maxy?) and there must be about 6 others too. Which makes me hope that we arent playing any of the top 4 teams early on. Id rather we have Saints dockers and Blues early up as we will show off plenty of depth. Anyone know some of the timelines?

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Thats because Roos said you will be better in the back line. Howe didnt like to hear that. So after 3 months in the forward line at the Pies, guess where he was shifted to?

Farewell Jesse Hogan
I dont like Scully as a person but he was a great footballer, whom I have to admit I hope doesn't reach the heights of his powers again. But that is only because the Hawks got another one for free. I certainly don't have any time at all for the melodramatic "lying to a dying man" BS. Hogan goes because he was missing home. Howe left because he listened to both his manager (more money) and Buckley (you can play forward). We may have bigger fish to fry in the next couple of years as player managers and other band wagoners whisper to our elite about more money elsewhere.

Jason Taylor Resume
The only way ti look at losing Jesse is that we have MacDonald who has evolved into Ross Glendinning 2 we have the Weid who IIRC has not yet stopped growing and has not yet done a full pre-season. Once he muscles into his skin he will be in the same stratosphere. All Carlton's greatest sides in the 80's had their best players down back. We had to even up the load. With May and Lever, and no injuries, watch out!

Im confused by "Destination club". Hawthorn is seen as a "destination" yet they have no hesitation in handing Ryan Burton as a asset to be traded without his consent.

The trading of picks to get Oliver after we unsuccessfully bit for Callum Mills was a huge risk in my view. Only a couple of years earlier we chose Jack Trengove after he had bolted through the pack late in the year. This was a bust and to repeat the same formula was real high wire with a very big downside. Im not as up to date on list managers as the above posters but we had an incredible pay off on a huge risk.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
Omac has a high ceiling. Although he has bad days his path is inclining.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Im pretty sure there are many usernames (and email addresses) used by the one poster. I find it funny when they forget which one they should use. It should be banned.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
I think the Stephen May part of the equation is a little overlooked. I think he has been a ripper Full back and his best is in front of him. Brian lake switched to the Hawks much later in his career and won a Norm Smith.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Luke Darcy would and has said anything he likes. I must admit I don't like him at all.

Those waiting for a quick answer should realise that many BIG trades end up waiting for other smaller ones to go through. 8.30pm on Wednesday, October 17 is the end of the trade period. http://www.afl.com.au/news/2018-09-10/when-is-the-2018-afl-trade-period
