  1. I reckon that's right, but it doesn't always work that way. My old man was a die-hard Collingwood fan who fathered four sons, all of whom barrack for other teams despite his best efforts and to his eternal disappointment. Mum had no interest in footy at all. A cousin played a handful of games for Essendon but none of us care for the Bombers to put it mildly.
  2. It might be time to resurrect this thread from last year.
  3. We beat them by 74 points last time.
  4. Unfortunately, that particular part of his body has always been his Achilles' heel.
  5. Well, der. Vacob dan Rooyen, of course. I want to know who this Jordan McVee guy is.
  6. He signed a contract extension until the end of 2025. It's a bit early for the "is he going home?" angst.
  7. Here's one I quickly whipped up with my graphic design consultant, G. Oogle.
  8. With Kozzy playing more as a midfielder this year, replacing a small forward isn't really like for like.
  9. It's the same principle as 7-11 stores, where things that would usually cost you $7 are sold for $11.
  10. Pickett, Spargo and Chandler all played in round one. There's room for the three of them. Chandler is playing far too well to be dropped. Not sure who goes out, all the same.
  11. You could probably write a book about your wonderful experience on Sunday, Mr. Hemingway. Suggested title: "The Old Man And The G".
  12. I wouldn't think so. The umpires confer at the end of the game to decide the 3, 2, 1. It's been that way with two and three umpires and I doubt it would change with an extra umpire.
  13. Not literally, I trust.
  14. Your avatar would probably love to have a good gnaw on those spoons, @leave it to deever
  15. I reckon there would enough timber in those 27 (count 'em, 27) wooden spoons to build a suitable vessel.
  16. I see that St Kilda are celebrating their 150th anniversary this weekend. Among all the celebrations, the parade of their Premiership Cup should be quite the spectacle.
  17. If we recruited Hugh Greenwood from North, we could have Royen HG.
  18. I'd expect all of May, Jordon and JVR to be in the starting 22.
  19. Port Adelaide didn't wear the black and white stripes until 1902, five years after Collingwood did (from their inception). In fact, Port wore seven different jumpers before settling on the prison bars design. I highly recommend the website footyjumpers.com for a thorough, pictorial history of every club's guernsey.
  20. We're the beast!
  21. Where the best!
  22. Here's your starter for ten. His surname is Sestan.
