  1. Be a good game to win from here.
  2. So is Melksham, who is the sub. And even the bleeding club can't spell Jordon properly!
  3. Knee, I think.

Only if you're a neghead with a victim mentality and a persecution complex. This is a great time to be a Melbourne supporter. Enjoy the ride.

To counter the Carlton fans chanting "woof" whenever Saad kicks the footy, I'd love to see opposition fans yelling "miaow" every time he turns it over.
  7. Did somebody mention Peter Noone?
  8. It sure is. I wonder who would go out to make way for Pickett and Salem, who are both surely in our best side.
  9. An acquaintance of mine who insists that the AFL is all rigged (no, not @Clintosaurus) is convinced that the Grand Final will be between Carlton and Collingwood because the league will need lots of money to settle the concussion class actions. Strangely, he has refused my offer to have a bet on that GF match-up.
  10. His books were banned following the publication of the rather racy "Biggles' Flies Undone".
  11. Losing to them again this year would be a 'mare.
  12. We might see George Gawn running around for the Demons in 2041.
  13. So this is what Fremantle meant when they said he looked like having a Goodyear.

Sam Weideman may have encountered more bad luck. He was moving very gingerly after Sunday's game as this photo shows and a Bomberbliz poster has reported that he is wearing a moon boot.
  15. If not then, certainly in the after-training shower.
  16. Good get, binny! If that one is unavailable, maybe we could go with this one:
  17. One of the very few poor umpiring decisions I can recall from the game, which is a good sign. The other that sticks in my craw is Petty not being paid for that lingering high tackle that was inflicted on him.
  18. How many people today do you reckon would have the faintest clue what number Coleman wore? There have been eight players since him and before Weid to wear the number ten at Essendon. It's like saying that Brodie Grundy has done himself no favours by taking Fred Fanning's number six.
  19. Now that's drawing a long bow! Coleman last played about 70 years ago.
  20. Smith wasn't knocked out. If he had been, Kozzy would have been suspended for a LONG time.
  21. It was pleasing to see him have the nerve to gopher it.
  22. Say that again? Nah, Sam is the spitting image of his father, which is a tough break for both of them.
  23. Grundy only took one mark. *ducks for cover
  24. Apart from those two turnovers and others that didn't find a target? (watch the clip) Generally, his disposal was good but it wasn't perfect.
