  1. He is indeed. In AFLW games, the role is allocated to his wife, Joan of Ark.
  2. Hello Geelong!!! Ohhh ... hello Cliff.
  3. You're keeping Peter Dutton hostage?
  4. I reckon it goes back a lot further than the 70s, @Macca. The expression also recognises the skill and total control of the footy by the kicker in that he can deliver the ball so that it lands on his teammates chest lace in or out as desired.
  5. It's actually a very old footy expression that was laughingly asked of a teammate (usually the full-forward) about how he'd prefer the footy to be delivered for a chest mark - laces in or laces out? "Laces out" was preferred because it was easier to mark and didn't bruise the flesh. It essentially means a perfect kick that hits the target exactly as planned.
  6. In Bourke Street?
  7. Free kick Demonstone!
  8. They know who all the money has been for and the punters are obviously backing Melbourne.
  9. The umpiring standards have nothing to do with the fixture. You seem to have an unhealthy fixation with umpires.
  10. Myrtle is coach of the women's team. See the AFLW Board for the full team.
  11. Unlucky to miss out! Such a calm player, too. How's the serenity?
  12. You're right, it does sound wrong. How about Craig Ieburn?
  13. I make the rules in this thread, champ.
  14. An analysis of the 2023 fixture. Melbourne did alright as it turns out. https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/winners-and-losers-who-really-has-had-the-toughest-afl-fixture-this-season-20230815-p5dwl4.html
  15. Buddy will have a farewell lap of honour before our game at the SCG, but will not be playing.
  16. That qualifies!
  17. Doesn't qualify. The suburb is Craigieburn. edit: Craig I. Eburn would work.
  18. Selected in the centre!
  19. Have a look at the AFLW Board, WJ. Mary Borough has made the team!
  20. It's a shame I couldn't fit more players in. Jack Assflat just missed the cut and that's a bummer because he always had a crack and gave some cheek.
  21. Agreed, HT. Doesn't sound anything like it. Hope all goes well with your treatment and you're back on stage before too long.
  22. Not a suburb.
  23. Suggestions welcome! Brayanbrook is not a suburb by the way.
  24. This is the team that Victoria would send out against any interstate interlopers.
